Breaking bad. I rewatched just last month, walking dead got lame around the negan saga

Breaking Bad for sure!!! It's an amazing show. It does start off a tad slow but I promise you, just hang in there and enjoy the fantastic ride.
Walking Dead is a great show IMO, I like it quite a bit actually, but it does get a little long in the tooth and repetitious.

If we were talking about the earlier years and seasons of Walking Dead, It wouldve been a close one to me, but as much as i adore and addictive to the Zombie apolycapse age, and from what WD's awesome characters also brought to the front stage, and through the earlier years of the show and it's many close calls, and blood gore effects,...
i'd still go with Breaking Bad, with it's own brand of intriguing characters, close calls, amazing twists and turn plots and re-direction. it's supply me with one of my all time
favorite arch villains in Gus Fringe, who just as AMC created Better Call Saul, with his own series, I am hoping they would consider the same with Gus Fringe.
Plus with BB, they saved the best for last with their departing final year, instead of dragging the show out for years on.
- One thing that has happened and changed this opinion for me is how WD is turning out nowadays .. vs what was truly awesome in the earlier years,
But the last few years have been so hideous and boring that i could not take WD any more. When i stop watching a show, i know the end must be very near.
And its not because the studio is stopping the show on a good note, but that it's failing, declining ratings is an indication that the show has easily lost it's juice,
the characters and plot is in the tanks and the writers can no longer save the show.
Now bring on a discussion of Games of Throne vs Breaking Bad, ..and see what gets slapped in ya face. lol

Two good choices, but go with Breaking Bad
Not sure if you just haven't watched a ton of series in recent years
If not, Game of Thrones would be front and center for me.

I would also endorse BB over most shows (also a huge fan of The Sopranos, The Wire, and GOT). It’s an all-time great series, for sure!
Without giving away too much, in the pilot episode we get a scene in which Walter White is teaching his HS chemistry class. Right away he asks his students, “What is chemistry?”
He finally responds that while it’s the study of matter, he prefers to view chemistry as the study of change.
And that’s what the show is really about. It’s a view into one man’s choices as he negotiates life’s hurdles and how he changes — dramatically — over a relatively short period of time.
I hope that helps sell it for you. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve rewatched it.

As Sopranos has a couple of mentions here, anyone other than me buzzing for the prequel movie starring Michael Gandolfini as a young Tony? Trailers make it look awesome.

Breaking Bad should be in everyones top 5 favorite shows of all time.
Walking Dead started with the potential to be there and has gotten away from their identity in the last half of the series.

Walking Dead has gone on too long. I prefer Breaking Bad and then watch Better Call Saul.

Breaking Bad is the best TV show that's ever been created. Go with that one IF you don't mind a show that's very dark. It has great characters and amazing plots, but it does show very ugly sides of human nature. There are some very disturbing scenes on that show, but it's so worth watching, IMO. I envy you that you get to watch it for the first time.
