Why all the negativity?

Expecting the worst keeps it real and is more fun than being disappointed all the time; who do you think will have more fun this season- you, when they underachieve AGAIN for 26 years in a row...or me when I sit back and laugh and say thank you, Jerry, if nothing else you are consistent...it’s pretty pathetic for both of
us isn’t it :)

Methinks he’ll just enjoy football, have fun, joke around, and simply enjoy life. If you wanna spend your time being unhappy or complaining or feeling embarrassed at the watercooler, have at it!

“I’m a Realist” That’s the haters mantra. No you’re a negative Nancy who people go to extreme lengths to avoid to be around.
I had rather be a realist than delusional. I have made plenty of positive posts when the topic deserved it. I don’t like this particular roster or this version of the Cowboys, but there are some bright spots. Refusal to acknowledge the problems in this organization has resulted in embarrassment. I think you have the same problem that Jerry has had the last couple of decades. Ignoring problems solves nothing.

Any Cowboy fan should be upset with the past mediocrity. I sure am. But that doesn’t mean I have to quit on the team and give up any chance of future success which the OP was suggesting and you agreed with.
Exactly what would you be quitting? You are not a player or coach. Nothing that you do effects the team on any level. You are just another old man with opinions that you try to force on people. That is really a sad existence to have these illusions of importance.

Dwelling on them solves nothing either, especially when you don’t have nothing to do with it.

Well then I screwed up
Because even though I don't like mediocrity
I am hopeful this season will be a success

I bet they would like to have 3 'chips instead of... a few more playoff wins. Be something to remember at least.

I'm not trying to justify anything. Just wondering what their fans think while we grouse away.
They probably think we have a sense of entitlement.

I don’t remember reading any positive posts from you.

I mean, if you pay money to see a movie, and it's terrible you go and tell everyone it sucks. Same with 25 years of mediocre football. Kind of a no brainer.
The difference is, the same movie is always gonna suck, and you never chose it to be your favorite. There's no chance of the outcome being any different, no matter how many times you watch it. :)

Do you know what facts are?
Perfect time to learn.
No comparing, just Google "Longest Super Bowl Droughts in the NFL."

Report back so we can see you learned something.

Sure, we could sit here and list the last SB for every team in the NFL. And those that have never won one.

But what’s that prove? That we shouldn’t criticize Jerry for his stewardship because he won a SB 25 years ago?

Why must you pull his chain and get him wound up like that? It's just psychotic the way you get your pleasure that way.
He deserves a does of his own medicine occasionally. He is allowed to constantly badger others so turnabout is fair play.

So you've assigned yourself to be the guy that dished out that fair play? How convenient!

I dont anymore, Im much older, but I will admit back in the early 90's I was so hard core that I still have VHS tape of every game for about a 4 year span so I do admit to letting losses get to me, it was almost personal.
So I get what your saying, and while I still consider myself a devoted Cowboys Fan, im no longer fanatical, but that fanatical era was awesome!
I started in the 70s so I guess I’m a little older. Actually early 60s. But I still find it to be a way of life. The preparation. The camaraderie. I think that’s what’s missing today. People are too much by themselves with their phones or computers. I try to talk to people on the street and they just put the head down and say like what’s wrong with this guy. Yep camaraderie’s missing

Why would I ? Not all fans cry and call people names like you do just because all you can handle is butterflies and cotton candy comments about your team...stick to your coloring book, you’ll be happier and so will we.
I don’t think that’s true at all. It’s just the average fan that doesn’t know what the hell they’re talking about. That’s the ones that give us issues. I have no issue whatsoever with critiquing a football player or team. I have issue with trolling. And there’s many here

Yes and if you have a problem with it, let’s take it up in private message.
No problem, it's interesting you took t upon yourself to be the one that dished out the fair play rather them having us draw straws or something for that honor.

BTW, my PM is turned off by the admin

Project much, Sweet Pea ? Unhappy, complaining, or feeling embarrassed because Jerry sucks and his team underachieves every year ? And will continue to. Nah. The only thing embarrassing here is you Little Girls can’t hear the truth without attacking people.
