His performance certainly reflected his lack of time with the team. I don’t think anybody would agree that the Cabo training method payed off for him on the field.

so he didn't train in cabo last season and was with his team in TC and got worse results, so Cabo had nothing to do with it.

If the offensive line has the same injury woes he'll look like the same back.
That's what I mentioned in diehards dak post,a healthy dak will not be the reason the cowboys do good or bad,the oline will determine that, always have always will.

I fully agree with you. Now I will say it looks as if people are hung up on the word "dominating" maybe that is a bit too much from the writer. For me I don't get hung up on the small things, what I got from the reports I am seeing is Zeke is looking to be in very good shape and looking quick and explosive and coming into the season with a chip on his shoulder. In the end he still has to go out and prove himself but why anyone would come down on reports of him looking good is a bit puzzling

This is good news. One of the best things that could happen to this team would be to re-establish a dominant running game like we had in 2014 and 2016. When you have a great running game, your quarterback doesn't have to carry the entire load. Then when that QB is also extremely good with good weapons, he can slice up a defense. Neither Staubach nor Aikman ever had to carry the entire load themselves. Both played on Cowboys teams with a quality running game ... and quality defenses -- that's another thing we need.

That air he's facing is overrated, not strong up front, easy to move...lol

Lol. So true. Guy is a veteran and the highest paid player at his position. To feel better about the disaster he has become we tell ourselves he is dominating OTAs. Sad really. The guy has been a bust.

Zeke could be productive fat, skinny, out of shape or in shape. His mental capacity and mental ability to be a TOP running back is what he needs to work on most. He needs to believe he is the best and I don't think he does.
Not true. He cannot be a top RB if he is not in shape. Doesn't work that way.

A running back dominating not getting tackled, breaking news, especially when he doesn't really do that when players are forced to do so. Everyone gets an award, so gj Zeke, you are still the most overrated player in the league and you play the least dynamic position in terms of significance against the means.

I can't wait for Zeke to shut everyone up. I'm guilty of being critical as well, but some of yall are off the reservation.

A quiet, hard working Zeke is just what the doctor ordered. He's not unaware of the talk about him. Judging by his off season work it appears he believes he has something to prove. That would go against the fat and paid narrative around here.

Zeke actually tried "too hard" during the 2020 season. He really tried to amp up his intensity level but it ended up causing him to "tense up" or "play tight" as some coaches would say.
- The fumbles were by far the biggest issue.
- Due to OL problems he was trying to force the issue instead of playing him more natural style.
- With each fumble he seems to try even harder to amp up the intensity but he just tightened up even more and the fumbles kept happening.

Zeke had 244 rushing attempts last year. That's only two more attempts then he had in the season he was suspended for 6 games.

Moore isn't even trying to run the ball.
Cant run the ball when your playing catch up ball.

For as quickly as Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott raced out of the gates to stardom early in his career, he has taken a bit of a step back in recent years. The 2020 season was perhaps the toughest season for Elliott in his career. But on Saturday, Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore shared his excitement for a new and improved Elliott in 2021.

“Zeke’s had an awesome offseason. He’s looked great out there, he’s got total command of the whole thing. It’s been great,” Moore said. “…I think he looks really, really good out there. I mean just fast, crisp, in and out of things. He, you know, looks really good and we’re excited.”

...

During the press conference, Moore was asked about using Elliott in a receiver role to help him be even more impactful to the Cowboys’ offense. In his five-year career, Elliott has caught an average of 48.2 passes per season for an average of 391.4 yards and two touchdowns per season. Moore admitted that having players able to step into different positions on the field will be beneficial as he tries to build a threatening offense to opposing defenses.

This is all great on paper..but using Zeke even more only increases injury to Zeke. I prefer Moore worry about using Pollard more effectively in the offense. Throw to him if needed..run him more..

If he breaks Devin White's ankles on an amazing juke for a long TD run, then I will start buying back in.

Until then, he is the most overpaid power back in the history of the league.

Right!!!! can we just say i like hearing this better than......"Zeke looks like he ate too many donuts this summer".....Kellen said he is in shape and mentally ready for the season...why do we need to tear that down?

So much of Zeke's game comes down to motivation. You can just straight-up tell on TV when he's checked out of games and when he's in it to win it.

For the 1st time Zeke was forced to look over his shoulder last year. It did a world of good. Hes still young if he comes back close to his 2016 form he could have a 2000 yd season.
That said, hes gotta show me.
