Honestly, I grabbed the first one I found, I will go back and find for his career.

Sorry it doesn't fit your narrative, but I understand. I've read enough of your posts. lol
No you tried to CHANGE the narrative by excluding his early years. Some of his worst seasons were the years you omitted lol like 2007 and 2008....nice try.

Well I'm still looking and I did find this nugget-

From 2014, which is after 2013, where I was cherry-picking.

So being named NFC Offensive Player of the Month for December is quite a turnaround for Romo, who not only led the Cowboys to their first 4-0 record in December since 1993, but he had a whopping 12 touchdowns to just one interception in that span.

Romo led the NFL in quarterback rating, with a 113.2 mark, just edging out Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers. But Romo's rating of 133.7 is the highest among any quarterback in NFL history with at least 100 attempts in December. His completions percentage of 74.8 also ranks seconds and his 12 touchdown passes is tied for fifth.

You built up these stats from 2009-2013 while omitting earlier in his career...which is crazy because 2014 if i'm not mistaken was his best year but I guess you had to do it so you could omit the early part?

I knew some wouldn’t get it. We’re talking about what gives you the right to be called the best

What makes you the best is performing in big games.

Unfortunately it's not a fair metric to judge a single player on when football is such a team sport.

That said you can't be the goat without putting the team on your shoulders and willing them to victory, countless times.

Brady has had the best coach to ever grace the field. He's had great defenses, stout olines, and was able to thrive in a perpetually pathetic division. Nonetheless he has proven himself over and over and over again. His genius is between the ears more than anywhere, and his decision to go to Tampa only cements that. He surrounded himself with talent and made an underachieving team champions. It takes a special kind of person to do that.

I believe Dak has some of these intangibles, but I dont believe there will be another Tom Brady in my lifetime, possibly ever again. It's that rare, and it's that special.

They don't suck, but yes, they are closer to Dalton and Trubisky then they are to Brady and Rodgers.

Again, check the accomplishments and then tell me who they are closer to. This thread is about GOAT status, not skill.

Prove me wrong. That's all I ask.
all I hear is spin....there is only one GOAT..Brady...there rest are great, elite, good, etc...

I get that and I'm not saying its wrong..what I'm saying is there is only one name you can use so drop Rodgers and just use Brady.....Rodgers is also closer to Dalton/ Trubisky than he is Brady. This thread was meant to say we will see how he does head to head with the main 2 QB's (Brady and Mahommes). But if we are going to get technical about it, Pat is not even on the same page as Brady either.....Brady's hardware will fill the first page with 20 QB's being on the second.....
How many MVPs do Brady, Rodgers, Dalton and Trubisky have?

MVP is clearly a more individual award than a Superbowl

what does it matter where he's ranked? if he's not winning the big game or games, it means nothing.

Goat stands for greatest of all time. Would you say this is the greatest era of Cowboys football? They’ve never achieved anything close to what they’ve done in the last 5 years?

I think you gotta be the team’s best before you start thinking about the league’s best

'The Lion for the win!!!???!!! Swish!!! Game bay-bee!'
Lmao... I concurr.

If you want to be the best in football you absolutely must have great people around you. No question about it. When I think about the best player in football it always includes the supporting cast. Great qbs always include the team and thier accomplishments. Dan Marino and Tony Romo come to mind. Amazing quarterbacks IMHO but Beebe the greatest because they never went on to win superbowls. I honestly think that Romo was every bit as good as Brady. But Brady has the rings so to the general public he is the GOAT. I feel that if Romo and Brady switched places, there would be no difference in the overall outcome. Most all will put Aikman above Romo and this is only because of superbowl wins. Maybe I am wrong but this is how I feel.
Romo is not every bit as good as Brady. That is ludicrous and not even remotely close to being correct.

Then why get upset anytime someone criticizes him and start using GOATs like Tom Brady as the comparison? Use someone like Kirk Cousins or Derek Carr. Those are the guys that Dak is level with right now until he proves otherwise.
Well said!! If Rockport and some of these others would take off those rose colored glasses and said that Dak is a good QB and his comparison is Cousins I would say your right! But they act like its a big insult when the real insult is comparing Dak to Brady, Mahomes , Rodgers!

It'd be even better if the Buccaneers somehow miss the play-offs entirely.

Bradys the GOAT. But Dak will show, yet again, that he can hold his own against the best of them. Brady had great teams behind him. Dak has had awful teams behind him.

Mostly, yes. But in 2016 the Cowboys had the no. 5 defense, the top offensive line (or in the top 3), the NFL rushing champion and the number 5 overall defense.

Now he was a rookie that year, no rookie quarterback has ever won a SB, so it's not realistic, regardless of the team around him, to win the SB.

Just noting that he's had good teams around him...

How many turnovers did the defense have? How was the special teams?
