That’s nonsense. They planned on Looney being around all along last year. They had him signed before they even drafted Biadasz, and with no OTAs or preseason they weren’t expecting Biadasz to be ready - hell they didn’t even have a chance to work with him to know. The fact Looney isn’t here now is because they have had the chance to work with Biadasz and this was the anticipated timing.
Cool story, dude.

Too bad it isn't true. They kept Looney because they didn't have faith in Biadasz completing the season and they were right. Your imagination tells really good stories so I do hope you have some more.

Do you like paying all that money for so few sacks? We should have cut that waste of money. He's never played up to expectations, and never will. King Daddy Hot Boy is a huge part of what is wrong with this Defense.
Not my point you utterly obtuse individual. My point is giving up on a second year player is the dumbest thing you could ever do. Imagine if every team in the nfl gave up on players after 2 years. No one could field a 53 man roster. I really hope this is not your actual opinion or you should really stop watching football.

Ohhhh. So you’re in the front office now? Stating opinion as fact. Here’s a fact for you. Looney got hurt. Biadasz came in. Looney was healthy. Biadasz got hurt. Looney played. Actually I think biadasz got hurt playing when looney was cleared to play. So your entire notion is ridiculous. Go take a nap.

Who is suggesting we give up a second-year player? Pay attention to what I'm saying and stop hearing what you want to hear. Biadasz can turn this all around with a good season in 2021, however, he's not going to look good at all if his health fails him again like it did in 2020.

So your argument is teams cut experienced veterans that are already under contract and they already know can do the job in favor of a 4th round rookie they can’t work with before training camp and who they can’t even see in a preseason game...

And they kept Looney even with an All Pro center on the team, yet you think the team would cut him once they got a 4th round rookie they weren’t even going to see in a preseason game….
yeah, cool story

By the way, your argument that they didn’t think Biadas complete the season actually supports my comment that the Cowboys expected Looney to be around all along, and hurts your argument he was a huge disappointment. By your argument the Cowboys expected him to be a “huge disappointment” even when they used a 4 th round pick on him.

Besides, the fact Looney is gone now clearly shows the Cowboys were happy with what they learned about Biadasz last year.

An “epic” tale of a team keeping an experienced starter who is already under contract on the roster when they could cut him and go with a 4th round rookie without even so much as a single preseason snap as the only center on the team.

yeah, what a silly idea.

Tyler Biadasz reminds me of Sloth from "The Goonies". He seems to only have about that much intelligence as well. I wish he was as good a football player as the guy that played the character Sloth... John Matuszak. RIP

Notice Looney isn't around now. He wouldn't have been around last year if Biadasz had been ready to play. You're just wrong about what they expected from him last year and how bad he failed this team. Now he has a chance to redeem himself. Looney not being around means they are all in on Biadasz his year.

It was smart business having Looney around during Biadasz rookie year. Biadasz was also coming off an injury. Its one of the reasons he dropped to the 4th. Biadasz is a stud. We are set there going forward. One of my favorite picks from last year.

I'm not projecting he'll get hurt. I'm hoping he'll be the guy we needed last year. However, if he did get injured again, he's gonzo, IMO.
He’s not going anywhere while under his rookie deal

Continuity on OL matters as well, something this team did not have last season across the OL. OL is not great because of a single player what makes an OL great is 5 guys working in unison. Not disregarding individual talent it matters but the OL has to be able to be in sync with each other as teams run stunts, delayed blitzes and you need to be able to work as a unit for it to have success. Biadasz held his own when he got the chance but the OL in general was still a mess because of the constant changes due to injuries
The oline is probably the most important part of a team that needs continuity
So much of picking up twists and blitzes is knowing what the guys around you are doing
It’s really, really important
