Because we are the Fast and Furious of the NFL. We suck, but constantly make money and everyone watches.
True.

But The Fast and the Furious eventually win, so that should give us hope the same happens for our Boys.

I have a good feeling about this upcoming 2021 season. All of the pieces are in place.

:starspin: GO COWBOYS! :starspin:

Fans don’t care about revenue, biggest stadium, artwork, practice facilities, or net worth. Fans care about one thing: winning which means deep playoff runs.

Fan caring is what *makes* revenue, biggest stadium, artwork, practice facilities, and net worth.
Jerry is in the Sports Entertainment business, and the net worth of the Cowboys says that he is the best in the world, and has been for years.

Exposure. Dallas gets it whether or not they are competitive. Players see the Cowboys on all the time when they are growing up. Another 10 years of mediocrity and that will likely change.

Gotta remember, there were some good seasons when these new draftees were 7-15 years old.

We have advanced past the first round in the playoffs three times in 25 years so why do new draft picks act so excited to go to a losing franchise with 25 years of playoff irrelevancy? It’s like being drafted by the Lions or Bengals except we have five super bowl wins a quarter of a century ago.

Valued at $5.7 billion, the Cowboys rank ahead of all other sports franchises in the world. Next up on the list include the New York Yankees ($5.25 billion), New York Knicks ($5 billion), Barcelona Soccer ($4.76 billion), Real Madrid Soccer ($4.75 billion)

Fact! The Cowboys are my team!
lol , no the cowboys are actually jerrys team.
you just are programmed to like them no matter what.

Many older fans dont like the owner, or the current players and coaches, but still have an interest in the team, so they still follow the team.

Dont forget, which most seem to do ,a big part of the value of the cowboys, is the huge domed stadium, which is worth at least 2 billion, maybe 3 billion.
And jerry only paid for a small part of that, the city of arlington paid for the bulk of cost on that stadium.

Draft picks get excited about being drafted by the Lions and Bengals to though. All the work they did in pee wee, high school, and college has just earned them a lottery ticket. Who wouldn’t be happy to be drafted by an NFL team? John Elway and Eli Manning being the exceptions.
yes and 1st, and I think 2nd round picks, are instant millionaires.

The cowboys are not a winning team, but they still are a celebrity team, a popular team, both haters and lovers watch them on tv.
And they are media darlings, the tv and internet, twitter etc, all talk about the cowboys for clicks and ratings.

Why don't you interview the new marquee draft picks, generate and share an in-depth report of your findings with us, so that we not only masochistically bond over the findings, but also partake in one collosal epiphany?

Just asking...

Mainly because the NFL, like American society, is all about the perception of success rather than success itself. Dallas has embodied perceived success by way of marketing and team value yet the trophy case has remained barren for 25+ years.

Top 3 sports franchises:

Dallas Cowboys (last Super Bowl appearance was 1996....or 25 years ago)

NY Yankees (last World Series appearance was 2009.....or 12 years ago)

NY Knicks (last NBA Finals appearance was 1999....or 22 years ago)

So team value does not obviously equate to team success.

Why do recently drafted players by a team make positive comments about said team?

Is this serious, or are you in Oregon tripping hard on every drug known to man?

Rookies get crowned as stars the minute they put on their helmets.

Being a star appeals to the rookie players in a very special fashion.

If that's not enough, the media hype they get there is quite intense.

I could go through a big long explanation, but it would be a waste of my time, because you wouldn’t hear it. Your mind is made up, and you’d only deflect and deny until the cows come home.
He explained it perfectly.

The Cowboys are the Kardashians of the NFL. Famous and rich for no reason other than what people before them did a lifetime ago.

Recent draft picks weren’t born the last time we won a Super Bowl. 25 years is an entire generation.

Thats all great and impressive but all I care about as a fan is having a deep playoff run, at least once every 7-10 years.
