On Offense, pretty much agree. Although I see Jarwin starting at TE with Schultz seeing lots of pt too. Also wouldn’t shock me if Connor McGovern displaced Williams at LG. I don’t think Williams has much upside. He’s ok but I would love to see if McGovern has anything better.

On D- Are we playing a straight 3-4 defense this year? Seems like 4-3 is still the base D, with some packages of 3-4…right? Maybe I missed something. They aren’t paying Jaylon Smith that kind of cash for him to sit. Unless he’s traded or cut, he will start. I think Anthony Brown will be pushed by Kelvin Joseph and by mid season, Joseph may be playing more.

I also expect to see some roster surprises by Sept. There usually are.

They said they are doing a base 3-4 but that's really meaningless, they will use the 3-4 or the 4-3 whenever it suits the situation at hand....

Man I dont want Lewis at outside corner. Hes best at slot corner. We need someone to emerge in camp to take that outside corner spot from Brown.

I think it's pretty well known he's a good slot corner but not so great at outside, even by the Cowboys' coaches.

Rest easy....

I’ll keep eyeballs on both Joseph and Wright situation this summer – the missed time with Fats cost him a step behind, but I want to believe that was vs a bout with illness (CoVid 19 related?) than a player that physically focused at the task at hand.

- Wright early on reports struck me with impressions as a ball hawk, with him being able to position himself to put his hands on several passes. That’s very encouraging

- What’s gonna be most intriguing is once the vet QBs and WRs get into camp – how will they respond and grade out.
Camp reports will be scattered among local beat writers, but I’ll stay with more the YouTube guys that visit there just as much.

– Only reason why I tend to like Hard Knocks here, is how it closely shows the feisty competition and grueling grind of camp at the practice sessions, more than what we’ll get with local
beat writers. They tend to have cameras where even the local beat writers cannot manage to stake out..

- I only hope Quinn is allowed to be himself, thus he can dictate who should start and who should sit/backup. And remember that Jaylon's re-signing was before Quinn took over as DC.
The more economic politics threaten to keep liability players up front, the more our defense will always be held back, limited and more challenged by opposing defense.

Note: i believe in the organization's eyes that Jarwin is the more superior player and receiving threat between the two TEs.
But until i get any indication that Jarwin is far ahead of schedule, with that ACL knee recovery and looks all the part like he is ready Week one, that's the only reason why i'm choosing
Schultz ready to start over Jarwin.. at this time  .
