What's your perfect sleeping Temp and conditions?

When I'm at home it's complete darkness, as quite as possible, and temp around 72 degrees. That's how my wife likes it. When I'm on the road I generally have the temperature a bit colder and I always like to sleep with the TV on. Having the TV on distracts me if I wake up in the middle of the night thinking about the stuff I have to do that day.

SUMMER: You'll be shocked but 80-82 with ceiling fans on. No comforter. Anything down near 72 and I'd definitely need to use my comforter and likely wake up with a sore throat from the cold, not to mention a sky high electric bill.
WINTER: 60s to save energy with my down comforter. For some reason colder temps don't bother me in winter like they do in summer. Odd I know....
I leave a string of mini Cristmas lights turned on in the bedroom window for atmosphere.

Those are my ideal sleeping conditions. However, the 74 degrees is not my WIFE'S ideal sleeping conditions, which varies. If she's cold, it's a sleepy, lazy backhand against my head and "Turn the heat on! I'm freezing!" If she's hot, it's a half-awake kick in my thighs (we sleep back-to-back by the way) and "Turn on the air! I'm burning up!"

First off, just how the bleepity-bleep does anyone 'turn on air' anyway????? Second of all, how does this woman always land backhands and kicks to the same exact spots on my body when she is basically still asleep????? And third, why the heck is it always me getting up and stubbing my toes adjusting the thermostat?????



I hate hormones.
