wanted to start a thread to pay homage to the folks that make your day.

If we are walking into a restaurant and some one opens the door for us. I'm appreciative.

I tell them "Thank you sir or mam.

That would be me - the only one in NYC.

This is why I rarely travel into NYC anymore. People are so darn angry and rude all the time. So many drivers never abide by alternate merge, or other common road rules. When I commuted into the city for work I used to fantasize of having a rocket launcher or chain gun mounted on the roof of my car for the blank-hole drivers I would run into.

funny story but, the UPS guy helped me fix my gutter on the garage yesterday...:laugh: We gave him a dozen eggs for his trouble. We have small farm.

Being a retired person, I really appreciate the mail-man and the UPS guys.
Anyone to talk to, huh? How long have you been retired? Basement getting full yet?
