I'll be following what Parsons, Odighizuwa, Kelvin Joseph, Jabril Cox and Bohanna can do for a defense that sorely needs help. Any others would surely be icing on the cake. TC should, hopefully, help to encourage the defensive staff to allow them opportunities to further develop their skills.

Below is the complete list of the Cowboys’ 2021 NFL Draft picks:

  • Micah Parsons, LB, Penn State (12th Overall)
  • Kelvin Joseph, CB, Kentucky (44th Overall)
  • Osa Odighizuwa, DL, UCLA (75th Overall)
  • Chauncey Golston, EDGE, Iowa (84th Overall)
  • Nahshon Wright, CB, Oregon State (99th Overall)
  • Jabril Cox, LB, LSU (115th Overall)
  • Josh Ball, OT, Marshall (138th Overall)
  • Simi Fehoko, WR, Stanford (179th Overall)
  • Quinton Bohanna, DL, Kentucky (192nd Overall)
  • Israel Mukuamu, CB, South Carolina (227th Overall)
  • Matt Farniok, OL, Nebraska (238th Overall)
For me it’s OSA Odighizuwa. They really need to improve along the defensive line, especially DT. He’s a 3rd round pick so hoping he can play well enough to be a starter.

Honestly, all of them. But I'm particularly interested in the defensive guys, where we really need some playmakers.

This draft has several good defensive players with serious potential, especially for DT and DB.
My hopes now lie in finding the eventual replacements for the OLine, so I would like to see Ball come through.

A lot of talk about Bohanna, hope he lives up to the off season hype. He is my defensive drafted pet cat.

but I think I am looking to see Feheko for the offense as the drafted players.

UDFA’s, maybe Coyle and Vasher.

Odigi, Wright and Parsons
Parsons of course because I want him to show us he's all that.
Wright because of his poor reception
Im replacing Odigi with Bohanna
and the winner is ; Wright/ I'm all in.

1. Micah Parsons
2. Quinton Bohanna

#1.To me, Parsons is an easy pick for #1. We really needed help at LB and Parsons was easily the best pick for the job.

#2. Why Bohanna? We have long needed a big guy like Bohanna to plug up the middle of that DL to help stop the run.
Hopefully Bohanna will be that guy.

So Parsons is your favorite huh? :banghead:
It's not personal. I don't like that the fans praise these rookies that have done nothing including not earned a star on their helmet. Why treat them like they are superstars. It's the fans that tick me off, not these young players. My disdain is not about Parsons, it's about the premature praising of players that need to earn that star first.

Would you like him to "earn that star" the way last year's defensive players earned theirs? Look what it did for them! :D

Jabril Cox is a guy I have been looking at lately. Looking at him he is built more like a safety than LB but watching him holding up vs the run and his ability to cover like a DB really has been excited to see how this kid does at this level. I could see him being used early in the season in nickel and dime situations just on his coverage ability alone. I do like much of this draft class and I think defense will be much better because of many of them.

It's not the Fans. These guys have been treated like stars since middle school. They'll be starring on in major sports show before they even take the practice field.

Anytime you draft high as Dallas did then that first guy is the one to watch.

I am not a big fan of drafting off ball LB that high but Parsons does bring pass rush ability and athleticism in spades.

If you told me Parsons would end up as your 3-4 Edge and average 10 sacks a year for 5 years then I'd be pretty happy and not really surprised. I think that might be his true athletic and skill set.
But it may also take 2 years to get there.

I think Cox is Darren Woodson. He is a plus cover guy who can survive in the trenches but he won't be at his best there.
You need these guys in today's NFL. Teams are going empty sets and spreading it sideline to sideline then 3 zones of depth too.

Joseph. With the departure of Awuzie, who never really lived up to his draft position, with Diggs showing up very well for a rookie, if Joseph turns out the same Dallas should have the corner spots nailed down for another 3 years at least...
