You are making Demarcus Lawrence & Gregory less valuable. Good thing is Bradlee Anae can play both style & dominate but in 4-3 he can have TJ Watt type of impact.

You are always onto the truthful trail...hoooah, my friend.
To me, this will be the cruxt to degree of change on the defensive line:
There’s lots to talk about ...at defensive tackle. Free agents Brent Urban and Carlos Watkins, plus rookies Osa Odhigizuwa and Quinton Bohanaa, are joining the mix with returning prospects Trysten Hill and Neville Gallimore. It’s doubtful all six will make the team and how the snaps will be divided between the survivors is also hard to predict. This is about as wide-open as it gets for a position battle.

Two current roster players; two veteran free agents; and two drafted tackles
8 days until Training Camp...I'll be watching, for sure.
As to the defensive ends, there are two starters already: Randy Gregory and Demarcus Lawrence. All backups/rotational players are speculative going into camp.
Thats Gus Bradley’s base D. Quinn was baby sitting Gus’s D in Seattle; what he had his d coordinators do in Atlanta is closer to his preferred style, as is the case with all def-minded head coaches.
I don't agree. Much of this stuff probably pre-dates Seattle, if you dig deep into origins. There is an interesting blitzology article that traces elements of the Pete Carroll fronts to the 2007 USC playbook. It becomes important in the historical sense because Pete's amendments to the 4-3 under in the NFL are well documented. A lot harder to dig into SoCal coaching talks than it is to trace Bob Condotta articles in the Seattle Times. As far as DQ being involved, he was the one who switched a 320 pound Red Bryant from 3T to big end, and that's what he's given so much credit for.
As far as people who would know, as opposed to all these sudden "experts" who never watched a Falcons game before 2020 unless Dallas was playing them, I actually live in the Atlanta area and I can ask Pudge/Falcfans about all this. To be plain, I don't recall Atlanta mediots talking about the Atlanta 3-4. Next question: if Atlanta is running a 3-4, what was Grady Jarrett's final position in DQ's fronts? AFAICR, it's 3T. There is no 3T in a 3-4.
D-
Last year Mike McCarthy was adamant on playing 3-4 knowing he didn’t have the time, coaches & players to do it and still wants to continue go down this road.
Dan Quinn’s success came under 4-3 defense & in Atl SB run it was 4-3 majority of the time.
My question is would you get rid of McCarthy if the defense struggles for the first quarter of the season like last year and promote Kellen Moore as the HC?
They can run a 4-3 and not have a base defense close to Seattle. I wasn’t saying he ran a 3-4 in Atlanta
Your assertion is testable. In the Seattle fronts, the big end always moves to the strong side of the formation and the Leo (Vic Beasley for most of DQs seasons) would be moving to the
weak side of the formation. Just look for that pattern on 1st and 10 in older ATL video.
