I think most of his haters come from that time when he blew off that kid. I liked his response afterwards about not getting your way all the time. That privileged kid probably never had someone say no to him before. It was a life lesson he gave to him. Plus they were all Giants fan. Boo!

I'm a believer that Quinn and Edwards will make our defense a late top-10 defense, between 7th and 10th. I don't believe our players were that bad last year. I think it was either Nolan not being a good teacher of his complicated schemes, his schemes were terrible or he had no teach them his schemes because of no training camp. Or it could be all three. Buy yeah I think our defense will be MUCH improved and will do their part in helping this team go 13-4 and will beat the Chiefs 37-23 in the Super-Bowl. :flagwave:

I fully admit I am. But they are not lame. If he's still a non factor regardless of that, I'll be the first to scream for his release. Even if the situation doesn't improve. Because it's pointless to pay someone that much for no reason.

There are 3 kinds of lies: Lies, damn lies, and statistics. I think some fans judge a player by the team he plays on meaning when everyone else stink, the guy who is half competent looks great. Lawrence is that guy. Do people realize that when Robert Quinn played for the Cowboys he was double teamed more than Lawrence? Watching games last season, even Gregory was getting double teams while Lawrence was handled by the OTs. I am not saying Lawrence isn't a good player. He is, but he is getting paid like a great player, which he is not. How many times did Lawrence fall for those fakes inside last year? He would crash inside on the fake and allow the ball carrier to get outside. No discipline. What made Demarcus Ware such a great player is he rushed the passers AND contained the outside. He never fell for the fakes. He always did HIS job first.

I am pretty sure he can take his 5.5 sacks somewhere else and the Cowboys could find a cheaper more effective player to replace him. When a team fails, it is the stars who let the team down.

My criterion? Did I say once cut midseason, incapable of motivation? No! You are putting words in my mouth.

My point is Dan Quinn's midseason firing puts him in question as a coach. I'm fully willing to allow him the chance to redeem himself.

Best run defender on an anemic run defense. Says nothing. Here’s the thing with Lawrence...he has talent. Can rush the passer and play the run. He is paid to be a superstar and he just isn’t. Fan expectations will go up when a guy signs that huge contract. Lawrence hasn’t played to that contract, this team has had terrible defenses when he was supposed to be a lynchpin, plus his overall production is not great. Fans are correct to be dubious towards him. Lastly he started that Hot Boyz crap which just looks foolish given how bad the defense has been. Lawrence should just shut up and get a dozen sacks. That will calm the negativity down.

DLaw, Jaylon Smith, LVE, Gallup, and even Cooper have something to prove to justify their stay in 2022. All for varying reasons. I'm hoping these guys are at their best. Because regardless of what anyone thinks in regards to these players, if they go, someone steps in for them. I don't see this team being better in 2022 if we lose most or all of those players.

Really..this whole team has to put it all together...it's a big year for ALL of them. From Zeke and Dak right on down to Fehoko.

It seems to me some of the very best D-line "superstars"...had very adequate to excellent players beside and even behind.

Who did D-law have?
