My criterion? Did I say once cut midseason, incapable of motivation?

That's exactly what you have been saying. Live up to it. Fundamentally, your logic is garbage.
Other people have pointed out exceptions which then you go back and just repeat yourself.
So why is it that conditionals only apply to you?

Just as an aside, Dave Campo's teams played hard.

Other possibilties: DQ may or maybe not be garbage, but with his GM unable to draft enough talent, he was borked.
The inability to replace (Devondre Campbell/injured DBs/Devonta Freeman) ultimately broke the team.

I was not in favor of Quinn, I would have preferred Raheem Morris, but almost any Bucky Brooks comment on DQ is a reasonable explanation of why they picked him up.
That and the Jones's fascination with the Seattle defense.

I live in Atlanta. I'm pretty sure if you talked to fans here, they would suggest motivation was not DQs issue. I suspect the cause was a mediocre GM
who couldn't manage the talent, whose luck ran out. And once the back end broke (or maybe RB broke), it was never fixed. Games kept being lost in the last two minutes.
Thomas Dimitroff picked Q, and they went out together.

His lack of sacks is not due solely to his lack of effort, he's not had d-line play worth much, he's asked to defend the run most of the time and lastly he plays on the quarterback's non-blind side.

I would submit if you put him on the other side of the line and gave him some better dt play he'd be back to the 14.5 sack level. As is often the case, players get blamed for not doing something when anybody else that's put in the same situation wouldn't get 14.5 sacks, either.

Players don't exist in a vacuum...

As he's playing out an island edge with mucho room and space manuever as a pass rusher,. so why does he have to have the help of an DT to be the War Daddy the Cowboys paid him highly to be ?
Where's Myles Garrett's better DT help ?...Chandler Jones ... Khali Mack..
He needs to flat out beat his OT one on one just as the the aforementioned vastly highly paid war daddies are doing.

I'm just saying because of DQ's midseason firing in 2020, his leadership is in question. I never said he could not redeem himself. He is already well on his way to redeeming himself. All that info you just dumped on us was not warranted. It's already known and I agree with 99% of it.

The introduction of more fresh players to be available for pass rush help should help this defense to respond better than they have in the past. I'm hopeful that several of the youngsters like Anae and Goldston will be allowed to participate far more actively than they have in past years. Randy Gregory will finally get his reps to demonstrate his wares more than ever before. I fully expect the pass rush to noticeably improve. I also have high hopes that Dan Quinn will improve the defensive team's passion and unity.
Heres where we sit with best pass rushers rostered and pre camp,, this is just my early opinion, so please feel free to comment and adjust.
Lawrence
Gregory
Golston
Urban
Anae
Armstrong
Kamara
Carter
Just talking edge,, not including DTs or LBs

It seems to me some of the very best D-line "superstars"...had very adequate to excellent players beside and even behind.

Who did D-law have?

PFF has Dallas ranked 27th at the DE position for 2021. 27th. DEs.

When I was in the Marines men weren't allowed to wear an earring at any time. A young Marine was off duty and at a BBQ and a Warrant Officer I knew well walked up to him, grabbed the earring and yanked it out. Someone needs to yank off that HotBoyz neckless from those players.
I saw this in Clint Eastwood movie. No way a mustang is doing that, he would be at office hours faster than stink on crap. They do have assault charges in the corps and every gunner I met were great guys never met a bad one. Sorry just don’t believe this one, he also recommended fragging friendlies, you decide.

I hear ya.
I once saw a Chief Petty Officer grab a thick gold chain around a Seaman's neck and toss it into the Gulf and then stared at him, waiting for the gripe.

It never came.

They don’t actually. The really good ones with high character go on and continue to be great. The slugs mean revert to their average years or worse.
But I wasn't arguing THAT. Why are you?

You are arguing what I said then saying exactly what I said.

Good year during contract year.

Reverting or NOT....has nothing to do with what I said.

That's about where they all belong, until TC and regular season exposure gives us a better idea of their pass rushing skills. I'm unsure about Urban, since he's a bit unknown for his pass rush skills. He has the size and strength but his quickness is questionable, to me. I'm wondering if Anae might turn out to be better as a pass rusher but either one could possibly win out in that skill. Anae is considered weak vs. the run, according to reports.
