Last weekend before Training Camp, you ready?

I totally understand why some fans love TC. I respect that. I don’t get excited until Sept. PS games are exhibition games to see who will probably never play a meaningful down in the NFL. I do occasionally enjoy seeing a rookie emerge but you have to take that with a huge grain of salt in PS games.

The only thing that excites me about TC is knowing we’re that much closer to real football starting Sept 9.

No, I'm not ready for training camp. I have Jury Duty starting Monday, will probably be sequestered. :(

I look forward to TC because it offers an opportunity to see what the rookies are doing to prepare themselves for the camp that they'll experience. Once it starts, there'll be coverage to see what and how they're doing and learn about their preparedness. Preseason games provide interesting examples of their abilities. Of course, we also hope they'll avoid serious injuries in the process.

This is the last weekend before TC opens.
Any last wild things to get in before your weekends are taken up? Wild parties, just normal stuff?

Going out to buy Cowboys hats and shirts for the season. Get the old Cowboys items out to dust off if you are not into giving Jerry your money.
Think up different stuff to whine about or to rah-rah about?

I just want it to go fast, which it probably will, get to next week and get it started.

Maybe once TC starts, we can have a contest. Things we see in practice, on interviews, or whatever.
We can predict...hey, that will make it on Hard Knocks...kind of like the ...come on man...

Go Cowboys :flagwave:

The only thing really that happens during TC is injuries. Personally I just want to get through it without any big ones.

I absolutely cannot wait. I’ve already been to the stadium

I may run down to the pro shop at the stadium this next week. Probably won't buy anything, maybe a coffee mug. I like to drive down there and look around sometimes.
Doesn't take me too long to get there.

Yep, know what you mean.
The 2 times I got a notice for Jury duty, I was not in town. I was in South Korea and another I was in Florida, both times working on assignment for my work.
Those were like 3 years apart. Have not been contacted since. Now that I jinxed myself, I will get one.
I haven't been called in over 10 years now. It was just a 1/2 day sit in the hallway & go home the last 2 times. My wife, on he other hand, gets called about every 3 years.

If you want to get out of jury duty, wear a button that says United States v. Moylan.

If the jury feels the law is unjust, we recognize the undisputed power of the jury to acquit, even if its verdict is contrary to the law as given by a judge, and contrary to the evidence... If the jury feels that the law under which the defendant is accused is unjust, or that exigent circumstances justified the actions of the accused, or for any reason which appeals to their logic or passion, the jury has the power to acquit, and the courts must abide by that decision.
— United States v. Moylan, 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, 1969, 417 F.2d at 1006.
