Nothing created itself then it exploded and became everything.

I do believe in God.

but……..and obviously we can’t turn it into a religion thread. But I do sometimes wonder what is God’s origin.

just one of those things I ponder sometimes. That’s where my whole beginning of time question comes in.

There are no unsolved questions. And I'm baffled by the idea that some believe, there are unsolved questions. If a question is unsolvable then it probably shouldn't have been asked in the first place. Because if you know what you can't know, then you know all there is to know. Meaning the unsolvable is unsolved because you were never meant to know. So how can you be baffled by the unsolvable when someone has already solved it? Just know, that no question exists when there's already an answer for it. So I don't need to know everything as long as there is someone who knows everything. So nothing baffles me.
That make you a know it all?

Nope. That makes God a know it all. And I don't need to know everything God knows. As long as I know he knows, I'm good with that.
I’m a Christian but wonder why God would allow Priests to fondle young boys. I have yet to get a reasonable answer.

Why would intelligent people fall for ignorance.
Several reasons, I think. One is ignorance requires nothing. If you don't know, you are not required to do anything about it. Intelligent people can't just walk away once they know. Knowing means doing.

Another is because ignorance falls into a convenient way of thinking. Enlightenment is not always illuminating, just as much of the dark can open up.

The greatest mystery, and I am not getting into the religious part of this, is what really happens to us when we expire from this existence? Is there truly something special within us, an essence, that moves on to another plane?

I see these near death experiences and accounts that I do not believe were contrived but I also know the human mind is the greatest mystery and after all these years, the smartest people on the planet have only been able to unlock about 10% of it.

How can there be people so evil and soulless to create unspeakable acts against their fellow humans and that is the only way they derive pleasure? Are they truly soulless and if the soul truly exists, is there an finite amount and some get recycled and some are born without them?

What exactly is the void and how can that even exist? Is that what they named the ultimate unknown for lack of a better term?

I have another one. Why does Verizon need to make a trip to my house, a tech call, to upgrade my internet speed? I have the newest ONT and the newest Gigabit Router installed already. All they have to do is issue a command from their offices and viola! Higher internet speeds.

So to follow up on this question, today I ran an internet speed test and noticed my network speed increased from about 50 mbps to about 140 mbps downstairs and around 94 mbps upstairs. LOL. So Verizon already issued that command from their office to upgrade my internet speed yet they are still sending a tech to my house next week! For the record, I upgraded to gigabit service but the my speeds are limited by the CAT5 cable that runs through my house and a switch I have that I use to connect all the rooms upstairs.

My next project will be to rewire the entire house again with a higher grade ethernet cable. No one actually needs gigabit speeds, but what the hell.

That 10% thing is a misunderstood concept. https://www.psychologicalscience.org/teaching/myth-we-only-use-10-of-our-brains.html
