May have been the very next game, but I recall when ATL had Seattle on the ropes up in Seattle, ATL was driving to score and Sherman blatantly interfered with Julio Jones on a bomb and the refs swallowed the whistle..a blatant no call. If memory serves, Seattle won and then went to the SB..I may be wrong. Anyone else recall that play? I may have the year wrong.

We needed on more regular season win to get home field.
The NFC home teams won a bunch a close ones that year
  • Home team Dallas over Detroit with late 4th Qtr drive….Romo to Williams, defense held
  • Home team Green Bay over Dallas in tight one….Dez catch, Murry fumble, Romo NFL record best QB rating in playoff loss not enough
  • Home team Seattle over Green Bay in OT

that was the play in Seattle where the tightend for GB stupidly went for the ball on an onside kick, lost the game for them. Guess that was Karma in a way.

Yah but we dont necessarily win at that point. We have the ball first and goal on the one. What is the score at that point with the ball on the 1 and how much time is left?
It's these kinds of comments that really do make one wonder if you are the Packers fan some say you are.

What's worse? The refs admitted after a long period of time, it was a catch. But, the Romo haters blame HIM for not taking us to the promised land.

A lot of help that did the Cowboys.

Interestingly it was the final chapter of Romo's career as a Cowboy. Of course, injury cost him the entire 2015 season except for four games and we all know what happened 2016.

Dez caught it for sure. What’s not for sure is believing that avg Dallas defense could have stopped Aaron Rodgers with 4 min left on the clock. Assuming we score a TD there, it’s 28-26. All Rodgers has to do is get them in position for a FG. Wish we could have seen that play out. Maybe we win- but it was no guarantee.
Yes!!!

Plus we had Romo. We could also say we were robbed of another opportunity to see Romo NOT in the play-offs again

it was always a catch on the field called catch everyone who saw it called it a catch only the refs reverse the on field call to no catch an forever robbed us of a potential run.

.he made football moves after he caught it dove for TD and it came loose but never truly touched the ground and even if its not td its at the 1 yard line first and goal..

they changed the rule now because these athletes can make sudden moves while securing the ball with hand or up against body part with one hand and dive...just because the refs did not understand he caught it and at the same time was diving for endzone..

it does still burn..we were robbed..
I was at the game and feel I was robbed of what would have been likely called "The Catch II." I cant stand to hear people bashing him.... oh hold onto the ball moron.... he did. He caught it with 2 hands, placed it into one hand, 3 steps forward and dove for the endzone. This play is the exact reason the league changed the rule a few years later. They didnt want to change the rule after that season because they know the outcry it would have sparked. And yep, I also think we go to the SB if we had beat the packers. We had already gone into Seattle and beat them earlier in the year.

That play was Dez in a nut shell. Absolutely no reason not to come down with that ball but Dez finds a way. It always amazes me how no one holds him the least bit accountable. A truly great receiver secures that catch. A dope like Dez just can't help himself. Irvin makes that catch 100 out of 100 times. And even if he drops it he is still a 3 x superbowl champ. A true boss. The anti Dez.

How about we just talk football ........leave personal attacks on the sideline. It's not that hard ....
Sure thing.

It didn't occur to me it was a personal attack. I've seen that opinion many times. I'll be more mindful.
