Pappy isn't old enough to get it...middle school starts in a month, he'll be ok.

I was raised to work and respect my boss.....I was also taught by my father to move on, if I didn't respect my boss. When I became a boss, I fired 26 people in 4 weeks, that's very tough to do, but I hired 26 people to replace them. I respect Jerry, he won us 3 titles, it's not easy to win championships.....some people are very spoiled and have no clue. I wonder how many of you work for a boss that you don't respect? I never did.....
Jerry hired Jimmy.....Jimmy's ego got the best of him and he left....Jimmy won the three championships, third on Jimmy's players under Switzer, Jimmy built the team coached and selected the players, not Jerry, maybe if Jerry respected Jimmy more, Dallas might have more championships!!
The only smart move Jerry ever made....Jerry was the one telling everyone 500 coaches could coach this team.......there's been plenty of those yet still no championship!Jerry hired Jimmy.....Jimmy's ego got the best of him and he left....
Jimmy never won a thing in Miami without Jerry's money!!! Jimmy didn't know his place. Be bailed on us and you idolize him. I think you are completely misunderstanding my feelings. I don’t like losing because I love the Cowboys. Whoever our GM was I would feel that way. It’s not about Jerry. It’s about losing. I will ask you a return question- why does it matter to you that some Cowboys fans don’t feel the same way you do?

If all considerations was strictly on winning another Lombardi trophy, then all considerations are out the window. Myself, I have never had life decisions that easy to square with...Those were great accomplishments 25 years ago. If you haven’t done anything in a qtr century and winning is your priority, you may need to admit you don’t have what it takes anymore. Besides, Jerry didn’t win those 3 Lombardis alone.
As a former coach you would know- if your connection to winning was a long, long time ago, you probably should be in danger of being replaced. Except here, the GM and son have lifetime contracts regardless of results. That’s not a realistic formula for winning in today’s NFL.
How many of us would be able to say in a 25 year drought of accomplishment,”Hey look at what I did over two decades ago”? That’s a pretty hollow statement if winning truly is the bottom line.
No, Jimmy demanded his way. Jimmy did a job interview with another team during the week of his last Super Bowl, and then, in the celebration following the win intentionally insulted Jerry, his boss, in front of the media. Sorry guy, name tossing doesn;t justify the path taken by Jimmy. Jimmy forged a great team, but his own integrity caused him to just terminate as his own choice, for departing.I thought this started as a thread about your boss respecting you .... if not you leave.
Pretty well established that Jerry was the one who got jealous and started disrespecting Jimmy.
Not sure how Jimmy became the problem in this discussion.
He's the one that left. I respect him for rhat....nut he's not a Cowboy by choice so good riddanceI thought this started as a thread about your boss respecting you .... if not you leave.

Congrats...and deep respect, Coach. As if Texas High School football was an ounce easier...!I
I won 14 championships in my 29 years....it's not easy. I get ticked off when people that have never strapped it on come out and complain....they have no clue
And this thread is needed because?
Jerry's like the Cowboys you either love him or hate him...I personally can't stand the guy but I love my Cowboys, if they win I could care less who gets the credit.
I wouldn't be that generous, Switzer had turnover to contend with as well and he had to head coach to help win games. Jimmy didn't do as well when he went to head coach the Dolphins and he was also the GM thereby pretty much having total control. I think Jimmy was an outstanding coach but Jerry and Jimmy together made for the Cowboys being an exceptional and dominant team for several years in the 90s.Jimmy won the three championships, third on Jimmy's players under Switzer, Jimmy built the team coached and selected the players, not Jerry, maybe if Jerry respected Jimmy, what Owner undermines his own coach by saying 500 other coaches could lead this team, Dallas might have more championships!!
If Ranching doesn't like for the Cowboys to win, then I question his loyalty. Go find you another team to cheer for if you don't like winning.Ranching logic
"If you do not like Rafael Zeptien ..... You are not a Cowboys fan"
