I was watching his press conference and let me tell you, it's nice to have a coordinator who dosent get hot sauce in his eye! I have a feeling this defense is gonna be good and surprise a lot of people!

it is a good job for him also because all he have to do is be a average defense and all cowboys fans will be beging for him to be head coach.

I like Dan Quinn and can see why players love him. I think his defensive philosophy being simple is something that is perfect for this team at this particular time. Don't blink but we very well might be collecting talent that can out bully other teams and if this is the case the good old your man against our man philosophy may work. Seriously though, we're getting some scrappy guys on this team and truth be told the defense was getting decent by the end of the season last year after Mike Nolan was castrated by Jerry.

You can't help but root for Quinn. Dude is a grown man.

I don't think we've had a Cowboys coach on staff I've liked this much since Parcells (except for maybe that two week period where I liked Kris Richard).

Look at how many loved the hiring of Mike Nolan. You’ve bought into Quinn after one press conference. lol The only way the defense surprises is if we’ve added some much better players and the young players from last season have improved significantly. The biggest concern is the DL.

I can see how players buy into him.

Sounds genuine....like an actual person, not the robot that the players tuned out years before Jerry would admit his 10 year mistake.

If we are going anywhere anytime soon, it's going to be because of Dan Quinn.

Don't worry Jerry....you'll still get all the credit.

It doesn't take a lot of intelligence to already see that Quinn is much better than Nolan and the defense will be significantly better this season.

I'm pretty sure most knew about Nolans track record. It's not like Quinn wasn't a finalist for the Broyles award or anything last time he was a defensive coordinator right? Smh...he said Mike Nolan LMAO

I don’t know about the defense being good, but he definitely appears to know what he’s doing. We’ll see when the season is 3 games in..,,

It’s going to come down to the players whether the defense is significantly better. All Quinn’s defenses did in Atlanta is cough up huge leads and one of those leads was to us last season. He had success as a DC in Atlanta because he had great players. There were fans who loved the Nolan hiring last season read the posts from the link. Every time the team hires a new DC fans make big predictions about how good the defense will be. We drafted heavy on the defense because we need better players.

The last time Quinn was a DC he was coaching the legion of boom. lol Rod Marinelli and Kiffin were great when they were coaching Hall of Fame players in Tampa.

Didn't Maranelli go 0-16 with the Lions? Big difference, when a coach won't adjust to the game as offenses adapt. Maranelli was stubborn and the game has passed him by. You really think Quinn is the same coach as Maranelli? That's hilarious
