Somewhat. The OC usually gives 2 plays 1 running, 1 passing.. and they do a check with me, so when they get to the line, the QB calls the play, he then will call the blocking scheme, he will decide which side to run the ball, etc all based on the D. So it's not really changing the play - they do that some too but it is really about trying to set the play up for success, that is done by the Qb once he is at the line. Some exceptions - 2 minute drill, quick counts, etc.
How do you know this is how Moore does things?

What? OC usually calls one pass and one run. Could be two pass plays, could be two run plays. The QB reads the defense and chooses to run or pass based on the defense. The QB reads the defense and delegates who is the hot read, who is the safety valve. The QB positions the RB, TE, and WR before the play.
How do you know? Are you a fly on the wall in the QB meetings?

You're right, Moore could be the ONLY OC not to do it this way, that is possible. But my hunch is, he follows the same operating procedure every team in the NFL uses.

Why do you think they call out the Mike every single play, it's not a quiz to see if the QB knows who the Mike is. Now there are times the first play call doesn't' need to be changed so they just run the play. There are other times, the OC might say " run this play" so the QB runs that play regardless of the D. But for the most part, there are 2 plays called and the QB will make the decision once they see the D. But if you want to think they treat Dak like a pop warner QB and he just tells the team what the coach said, that's fine with me.. it would actually mean Dak is one stupid QB and if that is your argument here, I won't fight you over it. It's just not how I see Dak or how I think they operate.

This is just passing, what about the TEAM red zone TD's. Look back to the 90's. Emmitt was relied upon to get most of the TD's.
I know those come more from inside the 5. But also look at the play calls.

Dallas as a TEAM needs to improve. I don't care how they get the TD, just get in the end zone.

I agree, they should use , Zeke and Dak legs more to get TDs in RZ.
There is 50:50 on the QB and WRs , but I personally think having a big target like Jarwin will help this year. This is where we miss Dez, in my opinion. None of Our WRs can go and get and hold on to the ball like that.

Dez was one of the best contested ball catchers I have ever seen. He would go up with total disregard for his body or the defenders around him, that was his ball and he was getting it. Love that attitude. I think CeeDee has that in him as well. We will see. Now I don't want CeeDee punishing his body like Dez did so hopefully they can find ways to get him the ball without just throwing up and saying, go get it!

You don't know what the heck you're talking about. The answer is neither you nor I know how much he audibles. To act like you do is a joke.

Who is reading the defense, calling the audible, and ultimately choosing the actual play to execute?

OC gives choices, QB reads defense, chooses one of the two (usually) plays the OC recommends. Dak chooses the play actually executed.
I would like to see some proof of that because I believe Dak is very limited in his audible powers in the offense.

If, in his fifth year, Dak doesn't have the ability to change the play based on what he is seeing from the defense..... Well, that's not good.
Jeez you haters are ignorant. Of course he has the ability to change the plays but that doesn't mean he does it 100% of the time like some of you haters are saying. You guys embarrass yourselves every time you post something. Keep it up, it's entertaining and enlightening.

you know what I am as big of a dak fan as they come but threads like this only bring out pappy and his posse. I havent left page 1 but Im sure the same culprits are in it.
I like to give them the platform to embarrass themselves.
