I was raised to work and respect my boss.....I was also taught by my father to move on, if I didn't respect my boss. When I became a boss, I fired 26 people in 4 weeks, that's very tough to do, but I hired 26 people to replace them. I respect Jerry, he won us 3 titles, it's not easy to win championships.....some people are very spoiled and have no clue. I wonder how many of you work for a boss that you don't respect? I never did.....
apples to oranges ranch.
We fans dont work for jerry, he isnt our boss lol.
He didnt win 3 titles, jimmy did and the last one was with jimmy's team.
jerry has failed at being a gm after jimmy, unable to build a winning SB caliber team.

The only thing jerry ever did right was hire jimmy, and that was just luck.
If he hadnt known jimmy or jimmy hadnt just won college championship, I doubt jerry would have hired him,
probably barry or some other coach, and there would never have been the 3 SB wins.

Don’t hate Jerry, just looking for culture change. A new mission statement. Like do your job worry about yourself then you can help others.

The organization, the franchise, they won three Super Bowls. If you think it was just Jimmy I can’t continue the conversation. Jimmy didn’t do much once he left Dallas.I can’t give you any more examples. It’s never an individual

3 SB wins is mediocrity? Did Jimmy hire himself?
Did you read what I have posted the last 33 years and the last 25 years of no NFC Championship appearances....

JIMMY JOHNSON HAD ALREADY BEEN APPROACHED TO REPLACE TOM LANDRY BY TEX SCHRAMM AND GIL BRANDT BEFORE JERRY JONES BOUGHT THE TEAM. JIMMY JOHNSON WAS GOING TO BE THE NEXT HEAD COACH OF THE DALLAS COWBOYS DUE TO HIS CLOSE RELATIONSHIP WITH BRANDT, AND THE PLAYER PERSONNEL STAFF. TEX HAD AGREED TO THIS AND AN EXIST GRACEFULLY STRATEGY FOR TOM LANDRY.

They (Tex and Gil) did not know that Jimmy knew about the progress of Jerry's negotiations with Bum Bright. So he was ready to take on the HC job and was giving info on the team to Jerry. Jimmy Johnson HC of the Dallas Cowboys was a given for the Port Arthur, TX native.

Really, are you the red head grandchild or the dopey one in the Cowboys personnel staff. Just kidding.

Again respect is earned, not given, and only given when earned. Jerry Jones gets respect because he earned respect as a marketer and business man. He has not earned respect from those who run a football team from the GM position. He destroyed a Dynasty that would have rivaled the NE Patriots (without all the cheating scandals). Jimmy was just smarter than many in football and did not need to cheat.

Jerry needs to fire his own *** and sit back like other owners. He gets in his own way and it's been killing us for the longest. Hire a real GM and keep signing the checks.

:hammer:

right the Legend of Jimmy, he did it ALL by himself , had nothing to do with an Owner who came to him and hired him, had the money and resources to work with Jimmy to get Assistants and players..

i mean jimmy could have fired everyone and ran the entire franchise by himself...

lmao

i have nothing but respect for Jimmy we all know even if this ego driven breakup didnt happen when it did Jimmy would have left around 1996 anyway. Its his MO, period...he did squat in MIA , and left to retire..he gets antsy much kike Big Bill tuna who i hate for leaving us hanging over his selfish impatient ways..

facts are it took every bit of every part of Jerry, jimmy, the staff of assists , and lost of luck with trades and draft picks etc to make this happen,.,

trying to push out Jerry like he did nothing is the very reason the break up happened..

Jerry is as equally responsible if not more then Jimmy for the 90s teams, without Jerry theres no jimmy and that cant be denied but the team did not run itself and one HC/GM did not do it on his own..

SBs are combo of great staffs and players but a lot of luck with trades and things hitting right..

I guess Barry Switzer. Has a fake ring. Do you know how ridiculous your statement is
I could say the same about your statement.:D
What you dont seem to get is that team ,that won the rings would have never been built without jimmy.
Barry would not have ever built a team like that. He could barely win one with a great team handed to him.

I’m not a Jerry hater. I am a losing hater. I’m sick of not accomplishing anything. That’s what I really reallly don’t like. Jerry Jones is a good man, good father, great businessman and an incapable GM. It’s not personal. It’s just pitiful we can’t get someone in here who can win. That’s what drives me crazy.
Boom! This is it.

What has Jerry done in 25 years as "GM" to say he had anything to do with those 3 championships? People continue to use them in defense, but his football decisions have been nothing short of horrific. His philosophy minus McClay and Parcells is if you can't draft well, make a splash in FA or a ridiculously terrible trade.

Here was his resume in 1989

Oil Tycoon
Owner of The Dallas Cowboys
Hired the HC
College football player

Name me a few more things that he did to win those championship? Just funny that people think this is some kind of equal credit situation?! Can't undermine the value and importance of coaching any more than that. Which has ironically been the problem ever since.

i was told I will meet stupidity in life
I was told I will meet ignorance in life
I was told the stupid and the ignorant will often think they know what’s what even though they don’t
I was told their ignorance and stupidity will make them feel self important and allow them to compensate for their complexes

just a random thought and any appearance of response to your post is purely coincidental

One has to know when he's just looking into a mirror...and no, I didn't create the above comment.

For sure, and with full power, Bill Parcells was really a flake for four years in Dallas?

This is just another example of friends and family hiring that Jerry uses, he got lucky on that one how’s the F&F worked out since? Jerry is getting everything he deserves and his pained looks after failure after failure is priceless. Jerry says this years team is a contender and you eat it up. Jerry deserves no respect for his last 25 years of blotched team ownership.

You’re wrong. How many players on that team that Jimmy didn’t want that Jerry did. Emmett
