They are going from one extreme to the other!! Frozen tundra to the fires of h e l l. It's crazy hot in Austin!!!

Ever been to Dallas or Houston? ( I lived in Houston for a couple of years and have family in Dallas). Crazy hot those cities as well. And haven't you heard of a wonderful invention - enclosed stadiums! Have air conditioning!

Just kidding...

Oh, I know how hot Houston gets!!! I live just south of there!! South Texas, in general, gets very hot in the summer!! I would die without my air conditioner!! LOL

Agreed! And the hottest I've ever been was in New Orleans, LA. Add 65% humidity to 95 degree temps and you'll know what hot is!

The humidity in Austin in the summer is much less (been there a couple of times), that helps a bit.

Too many in one state? Florida has the Bucs, Dolphins and Jags. California has the Rams, 49ers and Chargers. Texas has only the Cowboys and Texans.

And Texas has over 7 million more people than Florida. San Antonio is the 7th largest city by population in the United States.

If Florida deserves 3 NFL teams Texas certainly does....

Not all about population numbers. FL is a college football state first. TB, Jax, and Miami have a hard time drawing fans to the stadium. Same with the CA teams. Getting harder and harder to get the fans to buy tickets. Traffic and the 3-hr time zone difference hurt their efforts. Watching football at 10 am is plain weird. Charger fans have to tune in at 10 am to watch their team play at Buffalo. Who wants to do that? Same with watching MNF at 5:30 after just getting home from work.

I don’t see teams in CA and FL drawing fans to the stadium.

Texas is a football state, period. I should know, I was born there and lived there for 27 years. High school, college or pros, we like our football.

And Texas is in the Central time zone, so the time difference isn't a big deal. With well over a million people in San Antonio, wouldn't take a big percentage of them to fill up a medium sized football stadium. Texas has the Mavericks, Spurs and Rockets, 3 NBA teams and they all do really well.

Texas should have 3 NFL teams for several reasons...

Austin and San Antonio will be the cities NFL teams will use in order to get a new stadium. When the Pandemic is over, the go to city will be Toronto.

Good argument but the reality is that there won’t be a third team in Texas as long as Jerry Jones is alive.

Jerry is powerful, NFL-wise, but money is more powerful. Would be an interesting battle (which we've seen before, with different winners) - Jerry vs the NFL...

That's because there is an actual college there.
Killeen Texas has the highest percentage of military there because there is an actual military base there.
And now college educated means nothing. Some of the biggest morons I know are college educated.
Wherever there is a large concentration of educated population we see much more progressive ideologies and elightened opinions. Usually where there are less educated populations like in rural areas for example we see more morons or backward viewpoints.

Austin can have the Bills. I'm just glad the NFL isn't talking about moving the San Antonio anymore. While I would have supported the move in the past, I wouldn't now.

Not true.
Progressivism always causes regression.
The only reason I'm not going to go off on this is because it would be against the rules.

Rumor was that he didn’t like the Saints in San Antonio and it was documented that he was against the Raiders move. We will see.

They could renovate the crap out of the Alamodome. It's a good location.
Nobody is going to move to Austin, and certainly nobody is going to move to Austin to play in a renovated Alamodome. You don't move to play in a renovated college caliber stadium. You move to play in a brand new, state of the art facility.
