My overall take of scrimmage..

Very productive scrimmage from both sides. Just enough attitude to resemble a game, yet everyone came out relatively healthy.. Which is prob the #1 goal of these scrimmages at the end of the day.

Garrett Gilbert seemed to throw the ball well enough to keep the Off running smoothly, albeit he not challenging for a starting role

Zeke looks faster/quicker than we’ve recently seen

CeeDee still proving he’s a man amongst boys

McKeon easily makes the team and continues to make catches, although he’s said to be more a blocker. Really like his development

The starting OL is going to dominate once they gel. I can’t be more excited to have the Tyron, Zack, and La’el back.

Conner Williams is better than most give him credit and his aggressiveness against Donald was surprising and refreshing to see. Keep it coming

Osa looks like he’s going to be the real deal.

Overall, the DT looked underwhelming, but it’s hard to know how good/bad they’ll be when general contact/aggressiveness is removed from practice.. the jury is still out as to how improved we are

Same goes for the DEs, although I continue to see Gregory in the backfield. Minus Lawrence

Canady continues to make plays and will definitely make this team.

Didn’t see/hear much of Wright or Joseph.. take that for what it’s worth. Would have like to see them make a “Canady” play

Parsons still showing how good he is, although he looked lost in coverage on the one play that stood out. Expected for a rookie that’s doing so much. Not worried.. he’s going to help transform this defense

Neal and Wilson are still hard hitting players.. even when they’re not tackling

Rams note: if you were living under a rock.. Aaron Donald is a game wrecker. He’s one of my favorite players to watch not called a Cowboy. Stafford is a good QB and made a few plays, albeit limited contact..but he didn’t dominate the scrimmage with jaw dropping throws. Their RB Henderson looks good. Ugh.. I hate Desean Jackson.. how old is he now?!! Sean McVay is jacked!

We have absolutely nobody behind Lawrence and Gregory to rush the passer. If he cant make the roster then he stinks.
I think in the nickel Parsons will spend a lot of his time as an edge

I enjoyed it. Although I’m the same guy that watches every preseason game like a real game. Lol.. I just like doing the “eye-ball” evaluations of down roster guys. The best part of watching this scrimmage is seeing the movement of players…

Other than the very first pass where the QB and WR were not on the same page and he threw straight to Mo Canady, Stafford had his way today.
Long drive for TDs (some without without an incompletion) and a bomb over top of Donavan to Jackson at the end for a TD

Just practice though

I do think our run D will be improved
Btw...it WAS a nice snag by Canady.
Let's give out man props

Glad to see Connor Williams performing so well. He's one of the most underrated players on this team. The guy needed time in a pro weightroom to reach his potential and he's now one of the better guards in football.

I think too many Cowboys fans look down on Williams just because he struggled some as a rookie a few years back, and that's just unfair. Not every offensive lineman that walks through the door here is going to be Zack Martin 2.0.

He’s solid outside the 20s. Absolutely horrible inside the 20s.

Should’ve had a an INT and fumble both in the red zone
Needs to practice a short timer down there had 2 TD's and didn't throw the ball. One was a walk in almost. Window closed..no play.

Some injury updates from the mothership (DallasCowboys.com):

DE Tarell Basham and DT Neville Gallimore suffered sprained ankles but neither injury is considered serious. QB Cooper Rush is out a few days with a shoulder injury.
