yeah we replaced Jacky Sunglasses with a real hall of fame talent with an actual brain and elite instincts for the game.

They could have gone OL in the second, I don’t understand the need for a CB with Diggs, Lewis, Brown. They’ve got to be able to develop OL from the 2nd or 3rd rounds.I liked Slater too, but Parsons is way better at his position.

..........Brown is as good as having a nose tackle fresh outta prison play that position.

We needed a corner. Parsons was BPA in the draft after Trevor Lawrence. But, knowing Jerry and Stephen, we would have taken Horn or Surtain if one of them were available at 10. Getting BDPA in the draft AND an extra pick from the trade-down was a straight up miracle. All so the Eagles could snipe the Giants for a solid wide receiver prospect who isn't even in Ceedee Lamb's tier.

The Cowboys moved Martin out at RT because they had nuthin’ and no one else to resort to , with rookie Steele struggling so badly,
and Knight already fillin’ at LT with Cam Irving and Tyrone Smith already out.

- I really believe with mindset of OL coach Joe Philibin , they will once again go with that same strategy with only relying on Martin as a starting RT as an absolute last resort.

- As much as Martin has been dinged up with neck stingers, back issues, knee issues, and he’ll be age 31 this year, I wouldn’t want to chance that until
I just absolutely have to.
I think demanding him to be outside on an island, causing him a more challenging strain on his body that I care for.
Gratefully he did not suffer a torn achilles instead of a calf injury.

- But what I do dearly had wished our beloved OL coach Philibin had done in the offseason and this past summer was flex and try Conner Williams as a swing tackle,
(which he was an accomplished LT at UT)
instead of having Williams dead set on as a swing center, where he seemed to struggle and never improved.

- Oddly that 7th rd draftee Mark Farniok who only starter one game at center in college, ended up being a much better fit as a utility center than Williams who has been working there
since last summer camp.

- If Williams were coached up as a swing tackle this offseason and summer, I’d much rather take my chances with Williams than Steele, Knight, or age 37 Ty Nehseke.
I like Farniock at center over Williams. I agree about Williams at tackle. Put the man where he did his best work.

The coaching staff has no idea how to cope with adversity because there is no quality backup at almost any position. The last time next man up worked was Romo.

Your $40M QB Dak can't function if one OT is missing? Your $15M RB Elliott can't run because one OT is missing? Your $20M WR Cooper can't catch if one OT is missing? That is a nightmare if true, and has nothing to do with your missing OT.
Parsons can play any position. 11 Parsons > your squad

If they kick Martin out to RT then you are dealing with an interior line of Williams/Biadasz/McGovern....not exactly a confidence building center of the OL.
that's a decent amount of draft capital. Those guys should be able to handle.starting reps

Hypothetical here.................................what do the Cowboys do?

Do they rely on the new swing tackle or do they move Martin out to tackle and get Mcgovern in there at guard?
From Left to Right:

T. Smith - C. Williams - T. Biadasz - C. McGovern - Z. Martin

Hes an OC.

But Kellen has that job.
I understand he's the line coach;Joe’s background with offensive line coaching is extensive. He worked from the late 80s through 2002 with various college programs. He joined the Packers in 2003 and was retained as the offensive line coach in 2006 when McCarthy first arrived. Philbin eventually moved up to offensive coordinator at GrenBay. Whats the problem
