Hopefully Parsons is great against the pass or passing on Rashawn Slater could end up being a huge mistake for a run defender.

I was all for drafting Slater, 100%. Lets do hope that Parsons brings the LB core back to being some bad-*****.

I get drafting Micah Parsons as he’s going to be a vital piece to our defense for years to come. But we just can’t count on having Tyron and La’el heathy week in and week out. And our number one priority should be protecting Dak. That’s why I wanted us to pick Rashawn Slater in the draft.

Get a grip!
Collins is not that good!!!!
he actually is was 2019 not his best season ? when healthy hes a top rt and what really matters is the drop off from him to his backup. if its just him out we can get his replacement some help and be ok..if it ends up like last year where we are down to cwill and a bunch of spare parts we are in trouble..

just stop all of you..please

you saying one these guys would be better then TY or even knight or Steele like 100% no doubt?? guaranteed??

and two: are you trying to tell me college age players how about hs players DONT GET HURT??..come on nothings guaranteed and trying tom go back and redraft because Collins has stinger is utterly ridiculous i knew they werent even thinking oL in the draft the defense was priority and i agree with most of the picks..

teams dont all get to have Pro bowl depth at every position and we have invested many drafts and bi contract to the OL, you work with what you got and have to build other positions as well..imo would have been utterly stupid to not go defense in the first 2 rounds..

we have picked McGovern and Biadsz recently and paid others it was time to go defense..you cant keep drafting the same position.maybe dak and the offense need to play with a few jags around them they are paid a ton to play..

woody girl----- i am getting real tired of availability of both tackle spots......it was real good to hear Smith say he truly feels better than he has in years and his # 1 goal is to play all 17 games....but Collins has not played since 2019
granted he played all 16 games.....but i hope he does not just fall apart....some guys are just more durable....NFL is violent game....but i am a "fan"-atic with cowboys so i dont have patience

So help me, if 71 can't go and McCarthy starts Steele over moving Martin to RT and McGovern to RG (ya know, "fantasy football nonsense") I'm going to FedEx McCarthy a box of hornets.

i may have already responded to this post....but what is it with McCarthey???...he is not a smart person.....when Martin pinch hit at RT he pretty much shut down any one coming on that side and he had not practiced....put Martin RT and McGovern RG and move on.....the one i hate the most is this old man Ty Nsecke or whatever its spelled...he is only a turn-style for DE's....Dak will be destroyed if he comes in....why is it some organizations like New England and Pittsburge
always roll out a decent O line and D line if not better than decent?....but we struggle every year safety and D-line and sit on the couch while our Great O line got old or hurt and falls apart....but every year we think we are super bowl worthy
and every year as soon as regular season rolls around i get overly excited and drink the Kool-aid every year.....i think they need to open up a Dallas Cowboy Psyche Ward.....i would probably be strapped in a jacket

The erosion of the offensive line continues right before our very eyes: first Frederick, then T. Smith, Z. Martin, and Collins.....with no viable back-ups who can step in and be reliable starters. So much worry about fixing the defense yet the offensive line is ignored......great approach in protecting your recently injured, recently extended QB.

could not have said it better

In fairness Biaduz and Farniok seem serviceable young centers and McGovern & Williams can play on the interior . Josh Ball fairly high pick would have been nice if he hadn’t been hurt in camp let’s see what he has when he gets back . I was a Rashawn Slater fan where the Cowboys sat in round one but can’t argue with Parsons if he can continue to climb.

i agree...but if Dak does not have time that means he has to scramble....which may not be a bad thing most of time....but it only takes that one hit or falling wrong like he did last year and season over cause we sat on our butts and did not get Minchew and let Philly get him for peanuts.....we lose Dak its over....i am probably overly sensitive

mr Pantone---i totally hear that with both ears....i hope our new young defensive studs can fly around causing turnovers and tackles behind the line....we will have to blitz linebackers , safeties and corners cause
our front 4 ...well our inerior D not enough....and they always stop Lawrence so Gregory i hope eats and hope we cause turnovers for our offense instead of other way around and over pressure our defense

I guess that’s the price of over-inflated contracts nowadays…. Getting to rest a lot more…

I get the concept of not wanting to move too many guys around on the OL because you are concerned about continuity, but the starting OL has not played more than a handful of downs in the preseason and from what I saw they were already suffering from a lack of cohesiveness. It seems to me the best time to move the linemen around is now, at the start of the season. The point is, McGovern is better at RG than Steele or Nsekhe are at RT. Both were awful in the preseason games. So why not move Martin out to RT and insert McGovern at RG?

I am really worried about this injury to Collins. It is a stinger and he should have plenty of time to heal by Thursday. The fact there is doubt about his availability worries me. I say this from experience with the Cowboys and the way they report injuries. Last year they dragged Collins' injury out until the start of the season when they finally announced he would have season ending surgery on a bad hip. The tried to force Tyron Smith into the lineup when he had a neck issue too. Are we going to find out Collins will go on IR and miss 8 games or the full season?

Collins can't get through light practices. How's he supposed to get through games?

I fear he's close to done.
