I look at their team and they are better than us in EVERY way. I would even go as far as to say they have better pass catchers that we do, which is our biggest strength.

Its the only thing left for Brady to do. I would never doubt him.

Best part about football is we can still win on Thursday. As unlikely as that might be.

I don’t think you can go 17-0 with just a passing attack, you need a strong run game to carry it through the ugly stretches of Nov and Dec. TB had one of the worst run games in the league last year, a big reason they lost 5 games and got blown out in a couple of them.

15-1 1998 Vikings had an amazing Oline and Robert Smith balancing the team.

17-0 2007 NEP were 9th in total rush attempts, they were committed to maintaining a balanced attack despite how much they threw.

We pretty much know they won’t go undefeated… which means they’re going to lose at some point. So why not give it our all and try to make this first game one of their losses? Go get ‘em and punch them first.

Just go win!

I don’t get the idea that Tampa is some all-time great team on the same level as the 17-0 Dolphins and 18-1 Patriots. They are a good, nay, very good team. But they were beatable last year including in the Super Bowl. I’d say it was 50/50 they win the SB had KC not had o-line injuries.

Personally, I’m in favor of making a statement early with a hard hit on Brady even if risking a 15 yard penalty. But make sure it’s worth it - no namsy pansy hit. Make it a statement hit. And I’m not advocating injuring him, just a good, hard hit that has him thunkin the rest of the game.

Tampa has some older players… Health is always a critical factor— even more so now with a 17 game season.

Father time waits for no man. Can they hold up now that they have a target on their back and the pressure is on?

I think 12-5 or 13-4 is more likely

Seems like I recall Brady already going 17-0 and 18-0.

Probably not to be honest. The pressure that builds up when you're undefeated is a lot...not sure how everyone else feels, but I think had the Pats lost to the Giants in the 2007 regular season, they would have won the Super Bowl. To be honest, had they lost any game along the way, I think they would have.

At some point, they'll falter...but probably not week 1
