Jaylon has a $9.2 Million Salary Guarantee if he suffers and injury that prevents him from passing his Physical before the 2022 NFL Calendar year in March.
That's scary given his injury history and the likelihood that something may happen to him and us being on the hook for all that cap hit.
My thinking is what can prevent a player from saying they are suffering from Concussion-Like symptoms and using that as an injury issue?

Huh? You can't fake concussion symptoms. There are many diagnostic tests that do not involve a player simply saying "I feel woozy"

Jaylon has had one injury, albeit a horrible injury. He has not missed a game since he started playing in the NFL. I don't think that qualifies as an injury history.

They really just gave this guy the entire store on the structure when there was zero threat of losing him.

This is page one case in point why you don't sign anyone until you absolutely need to....unless you're getting a serious discount....which they did not, by any longshot.

Jerry just wanted the feel good story and to piss off Elliott at the time.

If they handled everyone else the way they played hardball with Prescott we wouldn't be having this discussion.

THIS is where we will do better with the kid than Jerry. I don't think his need to be liked by the players exists much at all. That's purely a Jerry thing.

Just pay him right now and sign him to an extension “while he’s cheap”

Yep Zero games missed due to injury since he entered the NFL is a bad injury history.

You can’t worry about injury. Jaylon has as much chance of having a great season as he does of getting injured and Dallas having to pay him. Play him as much as he deserves this year and if he gets injured at least the team will have cool sunglasses next year.

If it’s not “an injury history” then what is it? His injury didn’t happen?

I re-watched the games from last year, Jaylon was definitely pure trash in those games, so if I'm Jerry, I ask Jaylon to redo his contract or be moved. Nothing personal.
