Jaylon Smith, Leighton Vander Esch were odd linebackers out for Cowboys

As well they should be it's obvious that Parsons and Neal are better and like I said in here a few weeks ago that they will see less and less playing time especially Smith.

I think as the announcers pointed out, Brady pretty much knew pass or run depending what group was in there. Though parsons stopped the play where Brady called a run because of that.
Quinn still, best get a rotation that is not so obvious.
Or, that could have just been a few plays, and Collinsworth thought he had a scoop on it., but it really was not that way.

can any film gurus with all 22, see if this was the case before and after Collinsworth said that?

I did not see anything special from Jaylon except he had a good tackle for a no gain or 1 yard preventing a 1st down. Though they got a 1st on the next play. Not in his direction.
I tried to watch a few times when he was on the field. But not knowing his assignments, it did not seem he had a bad or good game. Same for LVE though I think he was more active in plays than Jaylon.
I am sure there are other opinions, and would be interesting to see.

But yes, Neal and Parsons seemed to be more of the focus, though I have not looked at any snap counts yet.
Parsons is the focal point though moving forward.

I won't draw any conclusions from it though, for game 1. As that set up could have been the game plan for TB, but may not be the same for LAC. However, they best clean up the passing defense.

We’re you really impressed with Parsons? Did he even make a play? He was hesitant and looked lost on passing plays. He should’ve had a pick but he blew it. I’m hoping he gets better quick but he is no Devin White. You could clearly see the difference when watching the game.
