Dak permanently has quieted the doubters

For the record, we all know in the SB, KC had almost an entire oline of backups. They were decimated.

In the month leading up to the SB, both Matt Ryan and Mahomes put up monster games vs that Tampa pass D on far fewer attempts. 58 passing attempts is a ton.

Mahomes had 462 yards, 3 TDs, 0 ints (on 49 attempts)
Ryan had 356 yards, 3 TDs, 0 ints (on 49 attempts)
Rodgers had 356 yards (on 48 attempts)

But I agree, that entire Bucs team was rolling come playoff time. The defense had some mojo too.

Bottom line is Dak more than passed his first test this season and should have a big year statistically.

We do face a better pass D next week at the Chargers.
But their run D is only average so I doubt we sling it 58 times again.

LMAO, Prescott has permanently done nothing to quiet his doubters. I don't even think he has temporarily done that.

He played well, especially considering how long it had been, but he did make some really poor throws when his receivers had the edge on the cover man.

Prescott is just like Lamb, it is as much about the hits as the misses.

That said, Prescott was not the reason the Cowboys lost that game. and neither was the PK. The lack of any, ANY, pass rush against a surgeon like Brady and they will lose 10 out of 10 times.

Dak Prescott is plenty good enough to take this team into the playoffs; however, this defense is still not good enough to keep them there. He's going to need to throw 50 TD's this season just to have a chance to win the division. He is certainly capable of that.

Dak played a wonderful game . I did not see that coming after the time away . Hope he has a great season and a playoff game and beyond . He is playing better than last year’s start or the year before .

Dak will never quiet some of the doubters on this board because they’re idiots who only come here to bash him. There were a couple of jerks who were pointing the finger at him for the loss on Thursday night despite the fact he had one of the best games of his career. He threw 58 times and the only pass he got picked off was one of the best throws he made that was dropped. He shredded that Bucs defense that wrecked havoc on Mahomes in the Super Bowl. If the rest of the team was as good as he is we would win 12+ games every season. If the Cowboys ever build a complete team around him they’ll do some serious damage in the playoffs and Dak will end up in the Hall of Fame. If we can just make the playoffs this season he’ll have a great shot at league MVP.

They kept Brown because he is an organizational player. He is a good guy like Crawford and Thompson. I think he is an average 3rd cornerback but should never be covering AB.

I dont believe that anymore. These guys are playing the best players. They just didnt have much of a choice to be honest. It was either Brown or Wright. But we arent playing the Bucs the next 5 weeks so there is no reason NOT to goto the rookies. Its just too bad Joseph is out.

No, what's funny is the blind bias some have for a QB that has done nothing to elevate this team deep into the playoffs despite their infatuation with Dak's personal stats. While Dak may help you win a fantasy football trophy he has done nothing to win a Lombardi Trophy.....just like Romo.

Time for the realism train to make a stop. Did Dak play great? Yup. I’m a Dak fan. Still wasn’t a fan of overpaying and we need to show up in late season games but that’s old news. But realistically let’s not act like it was perfect. He started shaky underthrowing two open guys on drives that were going strong. He hadn’t played in game situations though so forgivable. I’m not going to act like he was just perfectly zipping it around though. We are stacked on O. I love spread football but we will need Zeke so I’ll expect some more normal stats to show up. Great game plan. Fun times. That’s my Dak talk for the week
