Your Cowboys best defender ranks 44th in the league in sacks in 2020 and 81st in 2019. Maybe the best the Cowboys have but that is why the defense has sucked for so long...the best they have would be rotational players on the other teams

He's a top 10 defensive end. Those guys get paid. No he isnt as good as TJ Watt or Khalil Mack or the Bosa brothers or Myles Garrett but why complain about a pro bowl level player.

Some people dont know anything but sacks. Ignorant fanbase always complaining about Tyron Smith and Demarcus Lawrence, two of our best players.

That may be true...best on a lousy Cowboys defense....but that dont change the fact he is highly overpaid and underperforms.....for a DE. Wonder why the defense has sucked for so long.....bad contracts for average players....Jaylon, DLAW, Crawford etc.....missing playmakers.....players that sack the QB

Lawrence gets a lot of crap from our fans but consistently has graded as one of the best LDEs in the league. The issue is he's paid like an elite RDE or 3-4 pass rusher, but he's closer in talent to a Greg Ellis than our other Demarcus. 14-15 million is probably a more realistic valuation for him. Still this team is better with him than without him, we just need to surround him with better players on the dline. Every year it feels like we're patching other spots on the dline with backups, mid round picks, or projects. Yes we drafted Taco, but he wasn't a true RDE. I do like Gregory and feel he can have a breakout year, but let's be honest we rolled the dice with a 29 year old player who hasnt played much and has 10.5 career sacks.

DLaw just played the most DLaw game ever. Stuffed a bunch of runs, beat an elite RT for 5 pressures on Brady, punched out a FF on a hustle play, and put up a 0 in the sack column. And all fans seem to see is the last part.

He is an elite DE and has played at a nonstop elite level for going on 5 years now. If that doesn't win the respect of fans, I don't think anything ever will.

If your entire argument is “sacks!” your understanding of the game is limited. People who define positions by one stat wear their ignorance on their sleeve. This game is way more complicated than that. Robert Quinn had how many sacks a couple years ago? He couldn’t hold Tank’s jock.

I get on D law nowadays not because of low sack count. But his high $20m+ salary and has only played like 60-65% of the snaps. Other teams top guys barely come out of the game
