we lost because of bad game management by our coaches...they sucked when it mattered most...reminded me of Garrett all over again snatching defeat from jaws of victory
Me too. That was surprising to me. With Gregory and D-Law I thought at least a few times we could give him fits. Give brady a pocket and about 3 seconds and he will hit someone.
Just need a bit more talent on D up front. The biggest reason we lost this game…besides all the good ones listed here…is something most of us don’t want to admit. And it is this: The Buccaneers are currently a better football team than we are. They should not have won this game because of the 4 TOs they committed. But we let them off the hook.
Good football teams find a way to win even on nights they have too many TOs. We should have won that game. We have the opportunity to get better. And it’s too early in the season to make strong declarations about what our team is.
But if we are completely honest as fans, we aren’t yet as good as TB. Maybe we can get there.
(On loud speaker at the Star) “Attention Jerry and Stephen Jones. Please read the urgent message from long time Cowboys fan KSKboys on your desk. It explains why we haven’t been winning playoff games. That is all.”Just need a bit more talent on D up front.
And signing another bargain basement 3 tech type and putting him on the nose(Bruce Thornton, for example) does not work, has never worked, and never will work.(On loud speaker at the Star) “Attention Jerry and Stephen Jones. Truth!
It has become redundant. We need some trench talent that we have neglected for decades. And signing another bargain basement 3 tech type and putting him on the nose(Bruce Thornton, for example) does not work, has never worked, and never will work.
Ware was a special player. Was in a 3-4 and back then he played with perhaps more talent in the middle than we have now, which goes with what your talking about. Ware had Ratliff and Hatcher and Spears and maybe Canty.Me too.
That is where the dirty little secret comes in. The DT's determine the DE's success to a large extent.
Think back on the Colts when they had bookend pass rushers in Mathis and Freeney. Two of the best pass rushers of their era. Sooooooooooooooo, what happened when they played NE in the playoffs? Those two were negated by lack of disruption by the DT's. It's relatively easy for the OT's to block the DE's if they only have to worry about one direction.
I find it amazing how many people don't comprehend how astonishing it was for Ware to do what he did w/ the lack of talent around him.
Ratliff was played out of position negating his strengths, Spears = Nick Hayden, Hatcher had one really good year, Canty was great but wasn't there long.Ware was a special player. Do you think what we have now is better. We have young ones in there.Ratliff was played out of position negating his strengths, Spears = Nick Hayden, Hatcher had one really good year, Canty was great but wasn't there long.

We got a few good years but ratliff was to small to be nose. Then took a contract and laid up and said he was hurt. Only to go to another team and play with no problem.Ratliff was played out of position negating his strengths, Spears = Nick Hayden, Hatcher had one really good year, Canty was great but wasn't there long.
I don’t know about KC but for the most part we’ve played the bestWe played the best QB in the league last night, and the NFL is all about the QB.
It gets easier from here on out. Even KC.
Yes, it is. However, if you don't find a way to get to him, you lose. You simply cannot play a coverage type D vs Brady.
Brady had a clean pocket all night. I only remember us even hitting him one time.
Yes, there were other reasons, there are always several, but that was the biggie. If you don't pressure Brady, he wins almost every time. Find a way.
They scored more points than we did. End of story.
Exactly the opposite. Brady will tear coverage apart. He's done so consistently throughout his career, and has only been stopped by pressure. History, man, study it.The way you get to him is through coverage. You have to force him through his progression.
No, it is not. I do have hope going forward.Do you think what we have now is better. We have young ones in there.
I wonder if the Bucs are better if the ref throws the flag on the OPI or even on the helmet noncall. A very good chance that the Cowboys win with the proper calls on either of those 2 plays. The biggest reason we lost this game…besides all the good ones listed here…is something most of us don’t want to admit.
