THIS is what happens when your front office invests too much in skill players and not enough in trench players/edge rushers. One injury should NOT completely **** you in, around, and up the *** the way it does to this team. Yes, Lawrence would be a big loss to any team, but if we had even a tiny semblance of DEPTH, we wouldn't be AS screwed as we currently appear to be (barring some kind of unexpected standout play by one of our rookie D-Linemen, of course.)
They signed and drafted quite a few defensive linemen this year.

He came back for raiders and they cut him. Maybe if he can pass the drug test. Lol. Never mind.
When he was in Dallas, he was so ****ed up that he couldn't even play. He could barely run across the field.

Please say it louder for the folks having panic attacks over Lawrence being out. The defense will be just fine without him. Perfect post.

Honestly like this BUT not sure if it's too late with the season started it

LVE sitting on the bench does not work for me. Middle LB in a 3-4 defense while the outside LB's Parson's and Gregory rush the passer. Jaylon from time to time in the middle and playing the run. Neal in coverage.

The few meat heads we have left upfront to absorb the abuse and let the second level diagnose and make plays.

Let opposing offense figure out where our main pressure points on defense are coming from.

I'm not even a 3-4 advocate. I just see the personnel on defense is best suited for it even before we played last week.

Quinn can coach all kinds of schemes. Already had Gregory practicing with his hand on and off the ground. This is inevitable. We have some posters talking about if he can cover TE's or not in a 3-4. lmao! Not a key competency when he's supposed to rush the passer 85+ % of the time. Watch!

Did they ask Von Miller to cover TE's? Hahaha! Demarcus Ware? Oh right, the Broncos had both those guys and won the whole show against the Champs who were also a surging team even though they were the champs. Quinn knows something about that ime.

They don't need a free agent. They drafted Golston. He is coming back. Gregory is coming back and Lawrence is coming back too.

Yeah, good point. I forgot about Golston being on IR for only two more weeks. Gallimore might be back in two weeks too.

- Dlaw gonna miss half the season, probably return late Oct- EarlyNov return.

- Gholston will be new in rotation now though not best play shape

- Armstrong will get start at LDE now,

I'm am baffled at this team lack of drafting d line or defense in general

- i can see Basham getting RDE though i wasn't encouraged with his lone preseason game vs Steelers and he's just now
trying to get back to play form

- Bradley Anae will come behind Dorace/Basham with Gregory out - but he is still quite raw and under developed;

- Kamara likely on call;

- what DEs did we add to the practice squad ?

Not sure if he's healthy but......

https://nfltraderumors.co/2021-nfl-free-agent-list/
  • OLIVIER VERNONDL, CLEVELAND BROWNS

    Browns placed DE Olivier Vernon on injured reserve with a torn Achilles' tendon, ending his season.
    It's a huge loss for a defense that was already soft against the pass. Still an every-down player at age 30, Vernon's nine sacks were second only to Myles Garrett's 12 on the Browns. What's bad for the Browns is catastrophic for Vernon, as he will become a free agent at season's end. Having trouble staying healthy over the past four years, Vernon will probably now have to settle for one-year, incentive-laden offers on the open market. Life isn't fair for NFL players over 30, but it's really not fair for injured players over 30.

Vernon is an outstanding player. Really the only guy I've seen who gives Tyron fits. He's a hell of a run defender as well as a pass rusher.

There are only two reasons why he's not on a team - either he is not fully recovered from last year's injury or he hasn't been [redacted]. If he was available to play, he'd be a guy lots of teams would take on for a 1 year 4-5 mill deal.

I must have missed this Chauncey Golston that dominated college football as a pass rusher.

He was drafted to be another ineffective tweener like Tyrone Crawford.

LLLOOOLLL, and if you are mentioned in the same breathe as TC, that is all you need to know.

Is there something wrong with Golston? He should be ready to play.
He's 4th/5th round talent coming off an injury with no NFL experience. With the exception of that, yeah I guess nothing is wrong with him ?

Yeah fans can't be serious about him replacing Lawrence ? (if so we have stooped low, even for cowboys defense standards)
