go get Curtis Weaver off the Browns practice squad. He had 34 sacks in college and he was also the only defensive player in college football to ever average 9.5 sacks or better during a three-year stint. He hasn't played a game yet in the NFL because of injury and he would be cheap... with only 4.5mil of cap space you kind of have to go cheap. The general rule for most pass rushers is if you get sacks in college you get sacks in the NFL; worth a shot
I like your thinking outside the box. Jerry—here is your next GM

Jerry said he would do anything for a Super Bowl Trophy. Time to make a few phone calls and make it happen.

We’re not getting any DEs, just like we aren’t getting any OL or K. If we make any moves it’s to poach someone off a practice squad. DAL doesn’t make any significant intra-season moves unless they can pull off a big trade before the trade deadline.
I agree, I'm betting we're going to hear the phrase "we like our guys" before the end of the week. We have the most stubborn FO in the league. They won't sign an edge rusher, or safety or move Martin to T. It's always the same stubborn BS of not making adjustments.

I'm kind of venting but kind of serious. With Tank out and Collins out for at least the next 5 games our season could be over before we got a chance.

Tank is an unfortunate thing but they can minimize Collins being out by moving Martin to T and putting our best 5 on the field. But they won't cuz they're stubborn and stupid.

Knowing how reluctant this FO has been to welcome outside help, I think we'll be likely to go with who we currently have in house. Those of us who have been keeping up with those available are likely aware of some who might step up and those who may not.

Let's see who gets the nod to provide some backup help to potentially replace what Demarcus Lawrence had to offer. It might possibly take two to replace him -- one to rush the passer and another to provide help vs. the opposition's running game. Of course, I'm contemplating spot duty to accomplish that.

We'll soon see what can be done, if anything. Anae, Armstrong, Urban, Carter and Goldston are, potentially, some of the readily available candidates. Great hands and he'll get open.

On offense, it'll likely be Cedric Wilson being assigned to replace Gallup. He's plenty good enough, imho.

Correction:
Oops, sorry about including Cedric Wilson in with the DE's. My bad . . . (great hands and he'll get open.)

It was an afterthought and the time ran out before I could correct it into the proper paragraph.

Nothing you can do about Lawrence! But they can focus on that RedZone offense. Dak should be watching film on how Brady used the middle of the endzone and wasn't focused solely on throwing to the pylon over in the corner trying to play it safe all the time.
