This is a bizarre rating.

Dak DID play well...imo. I'm in his corner for sure.
However

Consider, for starters and just one example, that Matt Stafford had
  • FAR better passer rating
  • Higher completion %
  • FAR higher YPA (so no dink/dunk to get high rating)
  • Less than 1/2 the attempts, yet
  • same TDs
  • fewer ints

In what universe would that not be better.
Again...Dak was good....but Stafford (as one example) was better in every way imaginable.

weird.

Maybe they factored in playing on the road against a good team vs playing at home against some chumps?

Comeback kid? Part of that is not leaving time on the clock for the other team to comeback and win like the bucs did. Brady was come back kid.

I suspect they were talking about coming back from the injury as opposed to coming back in the game.. However just because the defense couldn't make it stand up doesn't change the fact that he did actually engineer a drive that gave the Cowboys the lead..

You can get stats to look how you want them to look. Leave out some factors/variables, input more satisfactory variables, put a time frame on them, omit certain unfavorable issues, and all of a sudden your guy is looking good. I just look at the W-L. Don't really care about stats. i would not mind if Dak was last in passing but we got a W on Thursday. Sorry for just looking at the bottom line, but football is a team sport and life is that way.

Forbes has Dak listed as the highest NFL player in the league as well. Brady 2nd. This kid is only starting. He's going to be one of the greats, in his age bracket. The more they hate the better he becomes.

He got paid & plays harder. You're not going to see this kid go backwards.

If we don't fix our OL health/issues he will be forced to throw the ball 50+ times a game. From somebody who suffers from rotator cuff/tendinitis issues for the last 20 years this will certainly test how strong that shoulder is

How do you Factor is playing on the Road, Opening Night and Game against the Champs....

Matt Ryan and Stafford wouldn't be close to Dak if you factor giving the formers Dak's injury

Sadly his career will probably go by the wayside like Romo as he cant put the right talent around him.

When did Matt Ryan enter the conversation?

Stafford put up a near-perfect game...almost flawless.
Ryan sucked
Not remotely in the same conversation.

He was awful

Apologies Freudian slipp Matt Stafford>>Matt Ryan

I doubt Matt Stafford put in Dak's shoes would have had similar stats...If Stafford broke his ankle 5 games into the Lion's Season...I'd argue Stafford wouldn't be on Rams vision for 2021 starter?

You envision Stafford at his best! But was Dak? Based on injury recovery and time away from game?

Your hypothesis is a classic fan bait and switch

I'm always surprised Cousins is still employed

You shouldn't be.. Cousins is a competent NFL QB.. He's just not a great one.. Since he is 4-5 years older than Dak it's more than likely he is never going to get any better. Dak on the other hand is still improving and is already better than Cousins.. But Cousins would still appear in the upper half of NFL QBs if we're being honest..

It certainly is trending that way isn't it? Our only hope is that we just one or two injury free seasons both for Dak and for his teammates to allow a couple of deep playoff runs. Unfortunately it doesn't look like 2021 is going to be that year..

My comment was only regarding how they did their stats.
They did not take into account injuries or even home vs road in their analysis, so I'm not sure why you bring that up.

This was just rating their one-game performances last Sunday. That is all.
Otherwise, Rodgers would not be 33rd. lol

No need to add any kind of imaginary agenda on my part.
There was none there.

Bla............deep playoff runs dont mean diddly. If Jerry goes the 20 years of Romo and Dak without at least one title then he is the worst GM in football. Which we probably already know he is.
