Yeah, you knew all about this player before the draft. Tell us about that CB Wright you had as a 7th rd prospect.
Or, we’re you like most of us here who didn’t even know who he was until the Cowboys drafted him?
Ill say it again. He sux. Too light to play inside where he is best. Too slow to play outside that matches his body. Should be on a 3-4 team. No clue why we drafted him. Could have been drafted in the 6 or 7 or UDFA.

Wyatt Davis was the pick.

It’s been awhile since I watched Golston but I think if I remember correct his testing was bad but he was good at football.
It's also been a while since the "we are smarter than everyone else" picks have worked as much as once.

If he was truly too slow outside and too small inside at Iowa....that'll magnify in the NFL.

Let me guess.....his arms are an inch longer than most.

Seems to me like he is the best fit to replace Lawrence. Missing camp with a hammy isnt great, but he is the quintessential Iowa guy. Iowa players are known to be very fundamentally sound. I said before, if there was a rookie that could afford to miss camp, it is probably Golston

If only the guy didnt miss camp. To think our defense is hinging on a rookie 3rd round pick that missed camp tells you how bad it has gotten.

Let me help yall out. Golston sux. Could have been had much later in draft. Does nothing great. Did not like the pick or player at all.
I felt the same way about Hutchins when he was selected and that turned out better than I expected. Let’s see what the kid does before we kick dirt on him.

Same was probably said about Michael Bennett, ..and he wasn't even drafted.
Some guys just end up playing wonderfully beyond their measurements and prototype.
Lets see how it plays out.

He is the best fit to replace Tyrone Crawford.

Hutchins is good enough to play for a Superbowl team but wasn't good enough for the Cowboys or Risen Star.

Just think if we had kept Hutchins and not signed Jaylon.

True...

but do you think playing on a team that starts Patrick Mahomes at QB was a big deal to him becoming a SB Champion?

So we have a combination of Golston, Anae, Dorrance, Kamara, and occasionally Parsons replacing DLaw with Gregory back next week.

Defensive tackle will be in much better shape when Gallimore and possibly Hill are back in the rotation I think. Add those guys to Osa, Watkins, Urban and Big Bo and that position group looks much better than a season ago.

Losing Lawrence us a huge blow but the d-line isn't the dumpster fire some are making it out to be.
And Basham

No because Hitchens signed in 2018 the first year Mahomes started. He went where the money was (five-year, $45 million contract that includes $25.09 million and a signing bonus of $14 million.) And I am not saying he is all world at linebacker but I would take him any day of the week over Jaylon because as limited as he may be he plays the game like a Linebacker should.
