It's tricky a season for MM coz many, including Jerry and Stephen, believe this team now has enough talent for a deep postseason run. In other words, his seats going to get real hot anything less TWO playoff wins IMO........injuries, CV-19, won't matter

PFT’s 2021 hot-seat watch, Week Two
Posted by Mike Florio on September 17, 2021, 11:53 AM EDT

Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy: They had the best loss of Week One. For now, it looks like they’ll be good enough to keep McCarthy from being in real trouble. But there’s still a long way to go. Hot-seat rating: Two.

Injuries and suspensions wont matter? LOL

Sure buddy, whatever you say.

JG was on the hot seat the minute he signed his contract in Cowboys blood...10 years later he somehow held his job. Silly to think MM is on any sort of seat

Really? Is that because of this kick *** yee haw roster? The one the lines up complete slop along the DL?

Is it because of the awesome front office he has? The one that follows up a virtual offseason with Hard Knocks? The one that tells the media who's starting?

Or is just because of Go Cowboys! and all that?

Because the division kind of blows where a properly coached but flawed roster can still win it.

Can is different than fire him if he doesn't.

I'm sorry. I don't look at this team and see some dominant group that has no business losing this division. They have issues just like the rest of them.

I don’t think Jerry is as tied to McCarthy. Jason got that because he was able to put together a few seasons that extended his stay. They didn’t hold on to Wade or Campo nearly as long.

I agree. It shouldn’t take 10 years to know if you have a coach or not. You should know within a season or two if you got the right guy. If you still have questions entering year 3? Can him. You’re wasting the prime of yo:huh:ur guys all for the sake of looking right.

who you gonna replace him with…..another Jerry Jones puppet. You have the best coaching staff this team has seen since Bill Parcels and you are calling them out at year 2.

Guess you want Garrett and Marinelli back

Fat Mike is on the hot seat, he was brought here to win now. He was given a Mulligan last year because we had a virtual offseason and all the injuries especially to Dak. He won’t be given a pass this year. Can’t keep riding on the coattails of a Super Bowl he won 11 years ago. He’s coming off three straight losing seasons dating back to Green Bay. Last season was pretty much a disaster so this is a critical season for him.

See this approach is silly to me….so you’re scared to replace him because you don’t know who he’d replace him with?

Look at a crappy organization like Washington…had Sean McVey and Kyle Shanahan all go through there…..

Im not fearful that I can’t replace a coach that’s losing….

I’m not saying he should be fired now. I’m saying if this season goes the same way as last year? How many 6 win seasons do you need to see?

MM isn't going anywhere soon. All the injuries alone is enough for Jerry to justify keeping him around another season.

they can fire MM and replace him with DQ.

Let Edwards take over as DC.

problem fixed.

If the Cowboys lose it will because the defense can’t stop anyone. And you want to promote the coach that can’t get it done and failed big time in Atlanta. :omg: By the way people it’s only 1 game in the season and you are calling to replace the coach. Freaking Amazing……Haters have come out early this year

...like I said before, MM is taking cowboys to NFCCG this year. Sign em' up, Jerry.

It’s actually got nothing to do w any of that

let’s start here. How about the complete lack of preparation for his new job last season? How about the absolute imbecile he hired as dc? Moving along, he already blew one game the team probably should have won. I’m not talking about pre game - in game. Down 2 with the ball on the opp 35 with less than 2 mins. You shouldn’t screw that up. Moving along further, he has the best team in the nfc East.

The division is absolutely trash, has nothing to do w Dallas being good. They aren’t very good but they should be better than the rest. If he blunders this season, I think it’s absolutely fair to fire him.

Not hating on McCarthy but I wasn’t thrilled about his hiring. He did an awful job in Green Bay his final two seasons and couldn’t win with Aaron Rodgers as his QB. All the Cowboys have done since he’s gotten here is lose. We were 6-10 last season. We just had an 0-4 preseason and we lost our opener. If we drop to 0-2 tomorrow a lot of angry fans on this board are going to be screaming for McCarthy’s fat head to roll. I don’t see the Joneses being real patient with him.
