Its kind of nuts to look around the league at how many QBs lit it up last week.

And now we start this week with a backup piling up 300 yards and some rushing in a win vs the Giants.
Id like to see better D around the league, but not getting my hopes up.

Yeah the league doesn't want good defense to ever be the norm again. Apparently the fantasy football geeks and the half second attention span generation need a score every two minutes or they turn the TV off.

This is basically who played the best based on all Week 1 games: https://www.miamiherald.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/greg-cote/article254237173.html

COWBOYS’ COMEBACK KID, DAK PRESCOTTS, WINS WEEK 1 TITLE TO BEGIN 24TH SEASON OF MIAMI HERALD’S NFL QUARTERBACK RANKINGS: Dallas’ Dak Prescott, back from a gruesome ankle injury that cost him most of last season, declares his full recovery with a winning 52.15-point game to win Week 1 honors in the Miami’s Herald’s 2021 Passer Success System NFL quarterback rankings. Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes opens in second place.

1. Dak Prescott, DAL 52.15
2. Patrick Mahomes, KC 48.85
3. Kirk Cousins, MIN 46.55
4. Jalen Hurts, PHI 46.20
5. Teddy Bridgewater, DEN 44.20
6. Matthew Stafford, LAR 44.05
7. Tom Brady, TB 43.95
8. Russell Wilson, SEA 42.70
9. Jared Goff, DET 41.90
10. Derek Carr, LV 41.75
11. Kyler Murray, ARI 38.45
12. Joe Burrow, CIN 37.05
13. Justin Herbert, LAC 36.85
14. Mac Jones, NE 36.05
15. Jameis Winston, NO 35.40
16. Sam Darnold, CAR 34.95
17. Tyrod Taylor, HOU 34.55
18. Jimmy Garoppolo, SF 32.70
19. Carson Wentz, IND 30.55
20. Baker Mayfield, CLE 27.05
27. Tua Tagovailoa, MIA 20.10

....and of the Top 10 Dak, Goff, and Cousins lost so who cares if Dak is on a list if he lost.

Dak is turning into a star because he's getting the ball out in 2.5 secs and making very good decisions. He has great timing for the rush and very good accuracy down the field and over the middle. He can't hit a 10 yard out so we don't call it.
What's he's doing in the pocket can't be ignored love or hate the guy it's special. I can't believe the way he played last week, wow.

Since I don't know how it's calculated, I have no idea if it's better than passer rating (although including "team result" really has me doubting). Sure, the OL has some responsibility for sacks, but QBs who stand back there too long are at least partially to blame. And it's not like the formula accounts for the behind-the-LOS screen pass to a running back that ends up going for an 80-yard TD. The QB is given full credit for that.
I was also looking at the "team result" part of it. Dak in 1st place but the Cowboys lost?

Don't get me wrong, love #4, but I would need a clearer breakdown of the scoring.

They may change the rules and induct Dak into the HOF this week.

The NFL has hands in this new gambling "Fantasie" Platform but I would say its still TD's drive the casual fan to the
TV ....Football fans like good defense but the casual football fan would be just fine watching Highlights of the TD's....very accurate statement...

Our rankings factor accuracy, passing yardage, touchdown/interception ratio and team result. They are passer ratings only and do not include a QB’s running statistics.

It is effectively a variant on the NFL’s passer rating stat
What exactly is the criteria? Standard QB rating is basically just a measure of efficient a QB is

It’s not even that, it’s just a random number applied to a collection of stats. QB passer rating is an extraordinarily outdated stat, and this one isn’t a lot better.
