The Run Defense. Can we give this Defense a **'in round of applause at least for the job they've done against the run these first two weeks?!?!

After being historically, embarrassingly awful last season, this Defense completely shut down both Tampa and LA's run game these first two weeks.

Honestly (and I say this while trying to be as unbiased as possible), if this defense can continue to shut down the run the way they have been thus far, I can't see how they won't finish as a top 15 defense by years end.

These guys will continue to improve against the pass as well, and I believe the sacks will eventually start to hit home once Gregory gets into a rhythm and Parsons gets comfortable as more of a 3-4 OLB than a 4-3 MLB.

I like their chances to keep it up against Philly, but the real test comes in 2 weeks against Christian McCaffrey and the sneaky good Panthers. Can they stand up to that test and shut down the first REAL gamebreaker at RB that they will have faced all year? I'm thinking YES! LETS GOOOOO!!!

Neither of those teams want to run the ball that we played.

Lol, i get that to a degree but after watching the Run defense last season, everyone and their mother ran the ball down our throats. The good rushing teams skewered us alive (Baltimore) and the bad rushing teams just bent us over and shoved a giant steel rod up our ***** (Cleveland without Hunt and Chubb). Needless to say, It's clear that the front office tried hard to improve the Run D this offseason with the likes of Urban, Bohanna, Diggy, etc, and it looks like they have succeeded, at least thus far.

Chargers put up 90 yards on 29 carries against WFT, who is supposed to have one of the best DL.

Teams always want to run the ball. Running the ball makes everything easier.

It’s not 1992. Most teams could care lesss about running the ball and in our first 2 games we witnessed teams wanting to test our secondary and not committed at all to running.

I've been told that it's a pass happy league. If that's true, then what do we to stop the run for?

Come to think of it, when was the last time we were blown out by a team throwing it all over the place? The Rams playoff loss still sticks out in my mind, but no blowouts from 42+ throws come to mind.

Our outside containment and giving up chunks in these swing passes out of the backfield needs to get addressed , Hurts likes to break pocket and Miles Sanders can go miles without a roadblock .

Let’s be honest every time Herbert & LA put a dent in the D out came the yellow flag like an Indy 500 warning . Can’t count on every opponent getting a 100 yards in penalties .

All NFL defenses are trash.

Our defense is fine and improved.

It’s 2021. Teams still want to run the ball. Ravens ran the ball to victory over the Chiefs. The Cowboys won because they put up 190 yards on the ground.

I called it before the Charger game here that the Cowboys might have a lot of room running since the Chargers were short a CB and maybe a safety. The Chargers had to back off to help the secondary.

Ravens are the Ravens. Their QB isn’t good at reading defenses so they run a lot.

They do the opposite of the current trend.
