Hopefully with Gregory back, Parsons back to LB

I was watching Quinn press conference and his intent is to use Parson as a LB as well as using him at DE at times. He said he is hard on Parson because he knows what he is capable of and Micah thrives on it and wants more. Quinn says there are things out of the LB spot that Parson can do that will help this defense and as we seen can bring heat from the outside.

Don't limit him to DE, play him in different positions, keep the other team wondering where he will kine up....but at the same time don't burn the kid out....most games he's probably played in a season might be 12?

Parsons played 55% of the defensive snaps in the game. Quinn did talk about not overloading Parson

Sorry, bro. I would prefer seeing Parsons rushing from the left DE spot. Imagine how much pressure he could create on Jalen Hurts and how much that could help our Defense? Keep Parsons at DE and let him wreak havoc on the Eagles all game long the way he did to the Chargers.

This, now you put Parson back at LB and now you have no rush again.

...Chargers had 97 yds on the ground. I bet they get less had Parsons been steering ship.

1st Charger run was gash for 15, right down Jaylons lane. Lets see what happens. ;).

Makes way more sense to have him at linebacker this game to mirror Hurts taking off. And anything to keep Jaylon on the bench.

Rex Ryan said yesterday that Parsons has found a new position, and asked incredulously, “Why would you keep him at inside linebacker!?”

Good problem to have. I can see Rex’s point if Parsons truly does have elite DE potential.

What Parsons showed us yesterday was what a real pass rush looks like and how effective it can be. Watching Lawrence and our other DE's forever we forgot what it looked like.

But lets remember that their tackle he was going up against was a last minute replacement from the XFL.

Disagree. If we get no pressure on Hurts but give him lots of time in the pocket, Hurts is going to kill us with the pass. We have to create constant pressure on Hurts. That's where Micah would best help.

Par for the course eh?

Hurts won't escape from Micah. Micah is best served rushing from the DE spot where he would be closer to Hurts, than having to line up 5-8 yards back as a LB.

Micah can rush the passer from the linebacker position if need be. I am assuming Gregory is playing. Hurts biggest weapon is running the ball. He will kill us if we have to rely on Jaylon to stop him from picking up big gains.

Gregory will be playing Right DE. Micah can remain at Left DE since he dominated there all game long versus the Chargers. Jaylon did ok versus the Chargers. He did lead the team in tackles. If you don't trust Jaylon, plug in rookie Jabril Cox in his spot. Cox can do the job, is quicker, faster and more aggressive. Problem solved.

Whatever happens when it’s time to throw Parsons better be attacking the QB.

Him not rushing the passer is us helping the opposing offense.
With D-law on IR, I bet we see a lot more of Parsons at DE on passing downs.

I think the Cowboys are smart enough to not screw this up. Jerry even commented on it. They know his best attribute is when he’s rushing the QB and not trying to cover someone on 3rd down.

I think the focus now needs to be why is Jabril Cox not on the field in coverage over Jaylon Smith?

I just want to see the full complement of starters starting in the revamped Cowboys Defence.

It all has to do with dynamics, to wit:

*I think Quinn will earn his money 10-fold this season.
*And, too, I expect that Quinn is having fun restructuring a D down on its luck.
*He has a lot of HUNGRY, young players coming to the fore with some experienced hands.

It will be a grand time, a grand time for Defence watchers, me boy!
Did you get a girlfriend or something. LOL you’re a nice

perhaps even more mixture of moving him around. he is a mismatch anywhere they put him. btw, he played LDE as opposed to gregory playing RDE. so having both attack is going to be helpful in bringing pressure
