I used to be an umpire. When you're working a league you get to know the other umps.

Pull a stunt like that and you'll be lucky to ever get a called strike again, and your hitters better be prepared to swing at everything.

All the refs I met playing HS football were all important people in the community, older guys never saw a young guy out there. Always had the utmost respect for what they do, it isn't easy.

The pitcher the catcher and the coach were probably in on it. Definitely the pitcher and catcher. Catcher was moving out before the ball got there wasn't even trying to make it look accidental.

The catcher just.....stepped away in the middle of the pitch. Clearly on purpose.
Teamwork, I guess.....but for all we know it could've JUST been the catcher.
Doubt it, but could've been.

:omg:

The catcher could at least extended her glove enough to look like she was trying to catch the ball.

I think I know where this happened. It looks like it is at Big League Dreams in CA. They have stadiums that look like the real thing. Any way that was classless. The catcher never even attempted to catch the ball and it was right after the team talk to the coach on the mound.
