We scored 14 points in the first quarter— 6 the rest of the way. We need more production. He got sacked out of FG range and did not lead us to enough scoring opportunities IMO. We were fortunate to get the W
How did Dallas not get enough scoring when they won the game.

I don't care if Dallas wins 2-0, a win is a win. You don't get extra credit for looking pretty or demolishing a team

Division games are never easy.

Having said that current eagles team is beatable and cowboys should do that , if they avoid costly mistakes.

I agree - this should be a Cowboys win.

They looked good against horrid Falcons, but not so much this week. Bad run game for them and Hurtz has to run for everything.

Good run defense for them with Cox in the middle. I see this as our easiest game of the first 3.
Prediction:flagwave:

Cowboys 52 Eagles 23

Prescott 29/33 415 Yards 4TDs 1INT

Ezekiel Elliott 174 Rushing Yards 1 TD

With 3 straight home games coming up we’ll be favored to win all 3. It’s time to get on a roll.

We avoided beginning the season 0-2 as underdogs on both of these road games to open the season.

Panthers are looking like only real challenge . We should be looking at 4-1, 3-2 at the worst before heading to Foxborough.

Id take 4-2 at the bye right now.

That would be great, and I think 5-1 is doable. I think we can beat the Patriots.

I didn't watch a ton of the Eagles-49ers game but listening to the post-mortem on Philly radio and from their media, it seems Jimmy G left a lot of plays out there, especially in the first half that helped the Eagles. He had opportunities to make some big plays and just missed WRs, bad throws, etc.

So if that holds, and the Eagles pass rush is a bit worse with no Graham at DE for them, there could/should be plays to be made in the passing game Monday.

Yeah, you’ll take your chances with a guy like Hurts trying to beat you through the air every time.

Which probably means they’ll try to run. A lot. We have more talent, and are at home, so we SHOULD win by at least 10. But it’s a division game, and those bitter little guys are ALWAYS desperate to beat us.

I watched most of the first half of that game, and yes, the 49ers problems in the passing game were entirely their own fault. They dropped a couple of screen passes, and Garappolo absolutely air-mailed a couple of open receivers. The Eagles didn't do much to stop them. By contrast, the Eagles absolutely blew up the 49ers running game early on; Hargrave looked like a monster.

It’s a division game - chances are it will be tough. Be curious how are lbs do against zone read. Zeke I think has played well against the eagles iirc.

but good chance to create a gap with a division foe, and build on a good narrative.

Losing Brooks was a huge blow. That guy is outstanding.
Brandon Graham loss hurts them in an already so-so spot.

Hargrave is a bit of a monster in the middle.
Fletcher Cox is not what he once was but is still good too
Edges are vulnerable

Overall, its a solid D.

That offense is a work in progress.

true what gives any team a real chance of winning in the preparation ahead of the game.
Its a chemistry that either exists or exits in the locker room.
If it exists, than it manifest and is revealed on the field.
I feel that this year, maybe I sound like the ultimate homer, but Ive been paying attention long enough to see a difference in attitude.
We may not be the most talented team in the league, but Im telling everyone that wants to listen that I see some real fight, desire, and gladiator attitude that has been absent for what6 seems decades now.
I like the fire in the eyes that I see.

3 keys to winning the game

1. Contain Hurts
2. Win the turnover battle
3. Convert in the redzone

Cowboys figured Hurts out last year. Play containment. Now they have Micah to spy him. Opening home game. I can see this game turning into a runaway for the Cowboys.

In fairness that was a different coaching staff and scheme that Hurts was playing in and he was a rookie. I suspect he’s improved since our game last Dec.

Eagles are trash
Hurts sucks
Their DBs are poop
They can’t score inside the red zone

If Dallas is any kind of serious about being good this season, they don’t lose this game. No way.
