Please tell me I'm not the only one that has serious reservations about our D? I mean a consistent theme is receivers running wide open - especially RB's out of the backfield ......eventually this will start costing more than a 2pt defeat moral victory.....I mean yes we have balled offensively .....but this D has me concerned - STILL
You are right, part of the problem is blown coverages and a young players still adjusting, but I do not think it’s a talent issue or coaching.

all i will say is that i am 100% sure they are good enough to win with this offense

that is all i can ask for after last year and only 1 offseason to try to fix it.

Reminder: Eagles are not a good team.
We overmatched them with our offense.
Right side of the oline did well last night.
Jaylon Smith should play closer to the line. When he plays back it seems he can't get in and fill the gap fast enough.
Hurts was not very accurate last night. Wentz for all his faults was better with their two TE's most of the time.
And they were beat accordingly.

Nobody thinks this is a top 10 defense. It just needs to be adequate and continue to find opportunities (turnovers, big plays).

Having rookies like Osa, FAs like Kearse make major impact, or Diggs turning into an All Pro are definite benefits that can pay further divident.

I agree
Getting Dlaw, Armstrong, Gallimore and company back will really help
More experience from the young players will help
If we keep this take away train going we could be really good
Ranking on yards is really not a great stat
Points given up and take away sis a much better stat to determine a good defense
One exciting part of last night was most of the time the Eagles got a stop against us it was when we stopped ourselves
The offense putting pressure on teams to score 30 helps the defense. The defense stopping teams and getting take away s helps the offense
When you got both clicking you can win some football games

True but defense also held Philly to 4 of 12 on 3rd down and only had the ball for like 18 plays in the 1st half. Last night offense was helping out defense but defense was making stops and getting the ball back to the offense. I think it was complimentary football from this team. Neither side had to be carried, they each stood on their own.

Even those 4 conversions were just on two drives
Overall they dominated the Eagles offense
We lead the league in take a ways and if we still lead the league by the end of the season not only will we make the playoffs but should be very competitive
Take sways demoralize your opponent and puts this powerful offense back on the field
And getting back some guys is really gonna help so much
I expected the offense to be explosive but they’ve shown they can play grind it out or air it out
But this defense excites me
They are young and aggressive and are gonna get better as the young guys get more reps

It's all because we have injuries on defense, I agree we can't tackle to save our lives
