Dan Quinn is the coach we have to keep

I like what Quinn has done but we are being a bit premature on crowning him. Its worth noting that the defense showed signs towards the end of last season even with Nolan here. They were generating turnovers at alarming rate.

For whatever reason, teams tend to prefer offensive assistants/coor for Head Coaches. Just me but I'm guessing we'd have to get to the Super Bowl and finish the season as a top 5 D for him to have a legit shot after only one season here.

We have had offenses that were top five every year even with Jason as OC. We haven’t been able to find a DC worth anything in over a decade.

I agree. But we also need to keep Kellen Moore as well. We never had an offense this potent. Not even during Garrett's term did we have so many weapons and a playcaller that can actually do something with it.

I can see the improvements and what's scary they haven't arrived yet. But once they do, watch out.

Quinn did research during his time off and adjusted his schemes to be more effective than they were in Atlanta. Seems like it worked.

The biggest thing I see so far is that the guys Quinn had them bring in have been stellar. Kearse, Kazee, Neal were all good pickups. The defensive draft picks are looking great at the moment too. Quinn has a very strong idea of what kind of players he wants and the scouting department is delivering in spades. Seems like there is really good synergy there.

This is a tough call because Quinn has the backup dline playing hard and fast. Diggs and this secondary are getting turnovers and making plays. Years past they may of had better ranked defenses but that was smoke and mirrors because it was a soft schedule.
Not sure who to choose.

It's very obvious, at this juncture, that Dan Quinn's defensive players would run through brick walls for him!
We just might want to label that as miraculous progress! The stark change between now and 2020 is great.

I'm somewhat unsure as to exactly what that man has done to inspire his players so well. I'm awestruck, however!!

Quinn has been great but IMHO the biggest difference is the removal of overhyped bums and the addition of young hungry players. If we keep purging the roster and bringing in good young talent we will be fie long term.

I'd give you more likes, if I could. You've described our current progress in fine fashion! Our situation deserves great admiration!! :)

The best thing about Dan Quinn (so far) is the fact that he brought Jayron Kearse with him. This guy looks like Kam Chancellor but faster. Micah is getting all the praise but Kearse is playing his position just as well as Micah is playing his position and we’ve needed both of these guys for a long long time.
Got some FAs who are getting it done. Kearse and Keanu Neal are balling. Forgot abut Kazee.

If we are being honest...we've had defenses ranked much higher than they are right now. MAranellia nd Wade both did.
True. The rankings are still low, but the hungry guys are driven and are contributing to the team effort. I like what I see so far - guys on both sides of the ball giving it Hell with teamwork.

Garbage yards or not Hurts made some nice plays against us. The TD throw he had when he was running to his right was a thing of beauty. We got gashed for several plays of 25+. If the Cowboys make the playoffs and don’t tighten things up a QB like Brady or Aaron Rodgers will have a field day making plays down the field. We couldn’t stop Brady in the opener with the game on the line. Herbert would’ve been pushing 400 yards had it not been for some of the penalties the Chargers committed. Some are acting like the defense has arrived and it hasn’t. It certainly has improved over last season, no question about it but we still have a long way to go.
True, I just like their effort. At least we are in the games instead of playing catch up.

The effort and pursuit has been night and day better than what we saw last season. We just need to reduce the chunk plays we’re given up. This can allow an opponent to get right back in a game.

Yeah I don’t want to make it sound like I don’t like Quinn because from what I’ve seen? I’m loving it. In his defense it’s also with noting his defense had to play Herbert and Brady to start off.

Let's remember many said JG would be a better OC than an HC...ask the NY Football Giants how they feel about that, lol. Quinn just might be a DC
Jason should be coaching peewee football. Dude sucks.
