Yes bland and workaday fans, this is not the same Dak who was formerly only workmanlike, robotic and with few flashes of greatness in him.

But, if 4 games is an indicator, Dak Prescott is now in the pantheon of NFL stars, joining his contemporaries i.e. Brady, Mahomes and Wilson.

And after the first game against the Bugs when Dark was a pass a happy QB with 400+ passing yards and our ground game was abysmal, I called for a more balanced attack with equal parts running and gunnin' the ball.
Since then, Dak has been 3-0. Yes, I am like a football genus.

And, me lovable squatters, haulers and drywall contractors, the following is what will keep Dak elite, steady and healthy: pounding the rock and passing the ball as a powerful change-up and not overly exposing himself as a passer.

Hollah, and brings me a dollah!

Dak always has been a dedicated guy with an exceptional work ethic. He's been improving incrementally most years and is knocking at the door to be an elite QB. I think he'll need to improve his ball security to reach his peak, however. Awareness of the ball when he's under duress should save him some problems, without a doubt. I believe he'll keep improving, even toward the end of his career. It's rare to see a QB improve his accuracy and quicken his release to the extent Dak has. He's really a good example of hard work paying off.

Never was a bus driver. These takes help me realize how very little the windbags on this board actually observe what they’ve been watching all these years. Or if they do observe, it’s without objectivity.

Dak is top 3 right now but top 5 at worst

Brady
Mahomes
Rodgers
Murray
Dak

I don't think anyone else is playing better. Let's see how Carr responds tomorrow against a tough division opponent. Same applies for Herbert. If they play out of their minds, they have an argument. Wilson looks good this year, but not as good as the guys above him. And Allen is rolling thru the worst teams in the NFL so I need to see more. Stafford had a miserable game against the Cardinals. Final statline doesn't tell the whole story.... he added an extra TD in the end to mask his really bad game. Cousins... well damn that Browns game was ugly.

Yup, Dak is top 5 for sure.

I think he's top 2 personally, Patrick Macholms (spelling wrong I know) of QBs you would want to build a team around but just to be subjective I'd say PM, Brady, Wilson, Rodgers, Stafford, kid in Arizona, Wentz (kidding!), And Dak could all be in someone's top 3 without looking like a total nutjob

The way he runs this offense its a beauty to watch. He makes the right calls and puts the offense in the right situation to succeed. Him and Kellen are dialed in. Dak is the coach on the field.

It is nice to see that he doesn't have to pass for 400 yards anymore

I am right there with you, I am 50 years old. I've lived through the 70s glory, the 80's almost, the 90's glory, the 00' ***, the 10' DEZ CAUGHT IT era, and now the 20' hope.

This team is seriously legit. And it is the drafting process Garrett implemented. I know that is unpopular but we craved that kind of structure and PROCESS forever. Love him or hate him, he was all about process and we are starting to see that dedication and consistency come to fruition. That's all I will say about that.

I am high, I am drunk on the majesty of this first month. And I am so hopeful we can carry it through to a successful season.

All in all? Bottom line? It is just plain FUN and exciting to watch this team come together and build a sense of character. A sense of team. An identity.

I am loving the ride and bathing in the success. and F*#! the EAGLES!!! GO COWBOYS!!!

Stafford and Wilson shouldn't be in top 3. Mahomes, Rodgers, Brady, Dak and Murray in no particular order.

Some of the throws Dak has made this year have been incredible. The big thing is that he is consistently making great throws, hitting players right in the pocket. In years past, throws were frequently in catching range, but a little behind or high or low or something. He has threaded a lot of needles this year.

Not sure what he did to improve but kudos to him. IMO, that is what was holding him back from being a top QB in the past and the issue seems to be gone.

That’s exactly why folks getting excited about 400+ yard games by Dak are dimwits.

I’ll take a balanced offensive attack and Dak playing efficiently any day over the “dAx th3 onleee Qb to thrOw for 400 yArdz in 4 str8ght gAmez!!!!” crowd.

2016 was the right approach, except now you’re getting Dak in his prime with a full grasp of the offense and confidence off the charts.

No evidence to back it up, but i'd say it's a focus on making more difficult throws from further out rather than stalling as we accumulate yards and then not being able to convert when we're deep in the redzone.

That and a two pronged running threat (and more viable receiving options) give a balanced and less predictable offense.

Looking good indeed.
