So much for the best defense in the league. Our run game ran down the clock with 4+ minutes left in the game. That's how to close out a game. Ram-rod football. I love it.
I loved it. Reminded me how the 90s teams closed out games. Go Cowboys.

A loss would be a huge disappointment. Not only would it stop a win streak but a divisional loss as well.
I know all about taking each game one at a time and any given Sunday and all that but to lose to the Giants would change my perception of this team somewhat.

I also know every year is different but historically, the ONE thing they have been able to do, is beat divisional opponents.

Hope it continues against the Giants.

This is all about stopping Barkley. He is 100%. We better have all hands on deck.

I don't think you have watched them play this year, its the exact opposite of this. He is not 100% and they can not run block to save their life.

Thankfully NY beat New Orleans yesterday, easier for coaches to remind players do get caught up in the hoop la.

With JG as their OC and Jones as the QB, Diggs might break single game Int record.

Jones I believe has thrown one interception in the previous 9 or 10 games and it was on the hail mary attempt at the end of the first half yesterday.

The Cowboys should crush the Giants. Should be like the Eagles game, however, I also get that it's a division game and 'Any Given Sunday' always applies. With that said though, I just imagine us controlling this game from beginning to end. I think the biggest X factor will be Barkley. If we can bottle him up and keep him from getting going, I think we should be good.

If anything, I will just put Barkley back into my starting lineup, which means he will do absolutely nothing. :muttley:

Carolina also had the #1run defense giving up only 40yards a game.

what does this have to do with what you said? I don't think 3 weeks of a season a team having the #1 run defense means much.

Just because Jones has only threw 1 Int doesn't mean anything when it comes to playing against us with Diggs .

Just like that Carolina's #1 run defense ranking.

Won't be hard to game plan for Red Jesus. They have a bad QB, no skill players left except Barkley, and a suspect defense.

Definitely a trap game.

This is actually the kind of game where Garrett can be dangerous. He was always pretty good at planning for Divisional Opponents, his offense is based on limiting turnovers by being conservative, especially in road games and he's totally fine taking what the defense gives them. We need the Pass Rush to continue getting home, else I think the Giants will find some gashes.

With all the hook routes JG likes to run, Diggs will just sit on them and eat.

I’ll be in NJ this weekend so the Cowboys better not lose. On paper this looks like a blowout but it is a division game. Interested to see if Dak gets up more for this game since he got injured last year against the Giants.

This game should be a easy win for the cowboys
Usually , I wouldn't be so over confident but there seems to have been a culture change within the cowboys locker room. Also , I believe the giants
Just won their first game of the season and gave up over a hundred yards rushing to the saints

Easy wins are the games we usually lose.

Maybe. We all know Garrett. He will call a game that will try to protect Dimes and his OL and limit mistakes, even if that means reducing chances. I see a lot of plays to Barkley to get him into space, but a lot of play action and double moves on our aggressive corners. The Giants will start the game to control the ball and punt deep/not turn it over.

It will be up to the offense to force them to try to make more plays by succeeding early. Need a better first half this week than against the Panthers.

The Giants are another team with a couple of good DTs. Leonard Williams is going to give either Connor Williams or Tyler Biadasz some problems.

The Giants will be without their leading tackler, Blake Martinez. That guy is all over the field and a sure tackler. Without him the Giants defense is not going to be as effective against the run or the underneath passing game. I believe Jabril Pepper got hurt yesterday and he might be out as well. Those are too huge hits for the Giants defense

The Giants offense has the potential to put up points. I don't know what receivers will be able to play next week, but Galloday is a legit threat. So is Sterling Shepard. Of course Barkley has elite speed for a RB and he is a threat in the passing game as well. The Cowboys have to bottle him up early and they cannot allow him to get loose on pass plays. They better be ready for the screen plays because if the Cowboys get a pass rush, they will see screens to Barkley quite a bit Fortunately the Giants OL is not very good. With all their weapons defenses can swarm Danny Dimes and force him into mistakes - or he can run the football and he is very effective at it. It might be a good idea to spy on him they way they had Jaylon Smith spying on Hurts.

The Saints offense has its problems but their defense is supposed to be pretty good, especially their secondary. The Giants threw for over 400 yards against them.

The Cowboys should win this game because they are the better team but I would not take any divisional game lightly.
