Will this mean LVE needs to watch his back.....he ain't speed as well?
indeed. they did not renew his contract . He is on notice. But i think he is rated a bit higher as a defensive contributor.

I think most are rejoicing that it makes us a better football team.

I don't have a problem with anyone that thinks we made a good football move, or with people that think we didn't. There.are many posts that go way beyond that, though.

It's clear we're deep at LB and that without Jaylon's contract, we won't be spending much at the position. The FO didn't want to risk being on the hook for his '22 contract. That's fine.

Regardless of how you think he played, we lost a team leader on that side of the ball. Hopefully that has no effect moving forward.

By every account I've ever read, Smith is a good dude. Only lowlifes laugh when tough things happen to good, positive people in any walk of life.

Make sure your keyboard doesn’t short circuit with all the tears you’re crying.

Smith was a good guy. But if he got injured we'd have to guarantee 12 million next year and he's just not worth it. Especially with how deep we are at safety. In my humble opinion. I like the guy. I was always rooting for him to come back and have another pro bowl year. Just didn't look like that was going to happen

Stephen is involved with this somehow.

We are finally starting to win again.

And they want to save money.

Or course, there is still a dead cap hit in 2022.

And they still have to pay for 2021.

This is why we dont have nice things. Aka trophies.

They do not have nice things because they don’t know when to move on. Jaylon Smith was a prime example of this. A very replaceable player kept long after his expiration date and they still won nothing. The D actually broke more records for being terrible than the other way around.

Is JJ doing a yard sale now?.....watch this.....TRomo was an overpaid, under-performing player given what he was paid to what was expected, especially in BIG games......here they come.....5, 4, 3, 2, 1......
And he lost his job too.

You sure seem to like to beat around the bushes, why don't you just come out and say what you really mean? For a guy who talks a lot, you don't say much.

Heard (senior moment and can’t remember who) that JJ called him to office and wanted him to waive his injury clause and he said no.
