Do you think that Jones considered how this would effect team chemistry?

Despite the opinion of many fans, Jaylon was a very popular player in the locker room, elected captain for a game earlier this season. Coaches want the players to be close to each other, it fosters teamwork, accountability and commitment to each other.

However, on the flipside, this loyalty to each other can backfire if it is felt as though a teammate was treated unfairly. This comes at a very sensitive time for the young team as they build momentum from a three game winning streak.

Jaylon's level of play was not the consideration here, it was a business decision. I don't believe that McCarthy feels that it the Cowboys are now a better team today than yesterday. This was about money and where it is allocated.

In less than 24 hours Smith has been snapped up by another NFC contender, that's an ominous development.

This might come as a shock to some of you but NFL GM's have a little more expertise than fans when it comes to evaluating the value of a player.
I would bet you anything. That he considered how it was going to affect the team. Make no mistake about it

The funny thing about all this back and forth is if LVE causes one game winning sack, fumble or interception in any game this year, all is forgiven and he's back in everyone's good graces as a hero. Cowboy fans are so fickle or capricious and I'm right there with them.

Are you implying the team is better off without Jaylon on it?
I’m implying that Jerry took into account. How the team would react to letting Jaylen go . But to answer your question which has nothing to do with my response if you read it correctly. Yes I think the team in the long run is better off without Jaylin depending on who is replacing him. But I don’t think they would release him without knowing that maybe Cox is going to step up. And this has nothing to do with how his coworkers are affected by this. I’m still disgusted how fans reacted to it the situation

Like anyone else we have no idea what he was trying to achieve with his statement. But football is emotional. If you don’t have that emotion you don’t win. My issue is the fans that don’t have a freaking clue and what it takes to accomplish what they’re doing. Are they making zillion dollars. Yeah and they should they put their body in their life on the line

They are getting reimbursed handsomely for whatever it is it takes to accomplish what they're doing.....they arent sacrificing their lives for a 5 figure annual salary, they are using their physical attributes in a tough sport.

Kinda what happens when it's been 26 years since a superbowl appearance. I am all for the attitude change that seems to be happening with this team. LVE better get with the program, or he will be next.

Critiquing the play of a guy or questioning his role or playing time is 100% open game. If the guy's a locker room cancer, distraction, or a criminal...that's open game too.

But some fans are like: you don't give me what I want as a fan so I HATE EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU AS A PERSON.

That is classless and a dark side of humanity, IMO. There's a sadistic side...such fans want to strike at the player...seem him hurt, punished, humiliated...all because his efforts weren't enough.

Such fans would have quite enjoyed to-the-death battles at the Roman colosseum.

No. He is a owner that is a Dumbo GM. He does not consider team chemistry...see 1994-present.

Do you really think that’s why he reacted like that. Seriously
I do, because with Jaylon gone he's now the LB on the chopping block.

I'm going to say LVE doesn't feel as comfortable today as he did yesterday. That might be a good thing.

That’s propaganda. Baloney. Jaylin has nothing to do with whether or not he’s on the chopping block . I can tell you the Brooklyn bridge.

Someone ask LVE "why would the fans not be excited ? Jaylon is overpaid, at the bottom of the depth chart, and a textbook narcissist".

What are fans suppose to legitimately feel sorry or bad about him getting cut ? (lets be real here)

The logic you guys use to defend a stupid opinion is incredible.

You’re in the competition realm where winning is everything. You’re not at the movie theatre.

That's where you show your niativity...this is an industry where the typical career is 3-4 years...the top several tiers have an opportunity to earn generational wealth and the basis for your income is on individual stats not team success. Every player is ultra competitive...rarely can you get to this level without it...it still falls a far second priority to maximizing their earnings. Even the poster boy for taking a pay cut to help the team is the second highest paid NFL player all time and top 5 on an avg annual basis (and he isn't even the primary bread winner in his home).

Don't be fooled it's all about the Benjamin's baby...winning the SB is icing on the cake.
