So Jaylen gets his 7.2 mil for year regardless.
Not bad.
I'm assuming he gets something from Green Bay above and beyond what Dallas owed him (not 100% 1 for 1) or why play at all the rest of the year.

Whatever the Packers pay him will be subtracted from what the Cowboys owe him. The Cowboys owe him 5.6 million for the rest of the season.. So if the Packers pay him 2.0 million the Cowboys will have to pay him 3.6.. Sorry for the simple math lesson..
that's ok, I just wasn't sure if somebody picked him up, they would have to pick up the salary. so packers could pay minimum salary in this case. still yet, it helps our cap, which I believe rolls over to next year (to offset some of the dead cap money)

so how does a jag, an injured and horrible player get picked up by a SB contender within 12hrs of his release according to most fans hes trash..???

well i guess their owner, gm, coaches etc are all blind and terrible even signing this so called trash..i thought he was a clown and his swiping would not be condoned, yet a team like GB would even consider JS for any price??

seriously i mean the guys as bad as using blocking dummy in his spot huh??

crazy they must not have any film on him because according to most around here the guy cant play lick..

he may not be pb guy but im betting he can still play...:popcorn:
as I just learned, GB can pick him up at minimum salary, and cowboys are on the hook for his salary for this year. so GB is taking no risks. they bring him at minimum (is he better than the 6th, or 7th LB on the roster?) and not gauranteed contract for next year and cowboys pay for him to play at GB this year. if it doesn't workout, then they cut him. no love lost

Correct. We are still on the books for another $5 million but whatever Green Bay pays him comes off of that

I'm hoping this locker room is strong and his release might upset some, but they know the deal and it's onwards and upwards for the team moving forward.
Micah ain't worried about Jaylon being gone. He represents a new mindset in Dallas. Guys like LVE will follow his lead if they know what is good for them.

LVE didnt look too happy in that interview.

I'd guess most of the players feel the same way.

Jaylon has become a liability to have on the field if you ask you're LBers to fill gaps and stuff the RB at the LOS. If you can run a system that has a role for a run and chase LBer, Jaylon may be able to fill those snaps adequately. All those highlights asking what the hell Jaylon was doing on a certain play basically had one common theme. He was purposefully taking himself out of position to have to take on a ball carrier head on. He knows he doesnt have the lower body strength to do it and will most likely get trucked so he wants to approach from the side and/or run and chase from behind and push them out of bounds or drag them down. His other favorite move has been to wait for 2 or 3 others to have him wrapped up and then show up and pile on and then act like you made the play. He will be the very definition of addition by subtraction. There will now be a real NFL player on the field fulfilling his responsibilities and covering his gaps. I said it while watching the Eagles game that the defense will be so much better when he no longer has to get snaps. He only makes plays downfield and is the best place for the offense to attack. I wish him well and he did overcome a horrible situation but he is no longer a viable NFL LBer.

Im guessing most players dont care and are focused on the Giants. Just because you believe Jaylon was good doesnt make it so. You also said Philbin was garbage. So your opinion means nothing to me.

Him and Lawrence seem to be the only guys who have that old stank on them. Brown and Lewis possibly but they don’t seem as outspoken and are playing decent ball.

I bet he gets cut before the end of 2021.
I'll double down on that, he'll be cut before December. He's doesn't perform the basic fundamentals of an NFL LB and he's to docile to contribute anything on special teams. Flag football yes, X league yes, NFL bwaaaaaa!!!!!!

100% guarantee that the majority of the locker room is thrilled to have purged J Turd. Any locker room truly dedicated to playing winning football would celebrate.

Lawrence is overpaid but he's got some dog in him. #9 is/was a poodle that stole money, good riddance.

Very well stated and nothing but the truth. For those very reasons I wish him nothing more than to face the harsh reality of getting destroyed on the football field. His first contract was enough compensation for overcoming a devastating injury but after that he was knowingly stealing money and crippling his teammates at the same time. I'd love to see Zeke truck him for a full game but he'll be cut way before the playoffs begin.

So many very little people call themselves fans.
