So all these guys will be coming off of IR, won’t we have to release a bunch of guys?

The IR list is a way to expand the effective roster for the year. I think they've been purposefully doing it for years. One of the reasons we're fine with taking injured players. They become reserve players to bring up in the 2nd half of the year.

Players get injured every year. There are always slots to fill. Maybe we have to cut some. I'm fine with that. I'd rather have more than enough than less than enough.
