Just curious. I saw the graphic onscreen during the Carolina game that showed McGovern was one of the best rated linemen on the team. I don't know the sample size or how they assess these grades but I just wanted to get a feel for what you guys think.

I'm all for putting the best guys out there no matter their name or salary. Thoughts?

This is Williams's last year and I suspect he won't be brought back and McGovern will take over.

McGovern for whatever reason is a better RG than LG. Assuming Williams leaves in free agency, I wonder if they should move Martin to LG.

CWilliams offers other skills sets McGovern doesnt have. If you look CWilliams is playing pretty good right now. Next year might be a different affair

I've been saying for over a year that McGovern is the better player, but things are going well despite Williams having to commit holding much more often than acceptable so I'm not gonna complain.

I am not a Williams fan at all but you have to admit the line has been very strong. The whole group. I mean they mauled a good Carolina defense. 200 something yards rushing. Just crushed them. Bosa a couple weeks back. Got his azz tossed around. It’s been impressive. OLines get mojo going. It’s a down hill position that gets stronger when the guys are playing together. There is zero need to change now.

- so long as we are running the ball, against a defense more suspectible to the run, we have a better chance at less weakness exposure with Williams and Tyler .. it also helps that way
with Steele as well.

- if we had blow out wins ..then a case could be made for giving McGovern garbage time snaps at LG, but of course controversy would rise and speculations begins if
Cowboys are preparing a force out with McGovern over Williams ..

- Plus too this OL coach is old school, and just like he didn't want McGovern to get playing time ..until he was forced to,, per injuries,...Joe P. Will likely just wait it out
and give McGovern a full offseason, OTAs, camp and preseason to coach him up at LG next year.
