My biggest peeve with him is this. He's not always out of place, he just never looks for the ball. It's frustrating.
Same here, he's always had issues turning toward the ball.

I heard one of the resident experts say Browns pick 6 was “ garbage time “ . But if the receiver catches the pass and motors down I/30 to Grand Prairie and celebrates a TD its back to blaming Brown.

The Giants WR situation yesterday was basically if Cedric Wilson and Noah Brown were the starters. But I will say Tony looks like a legit playmaker and he torched many at some point in the game. A nasty cut beat Diggs for a long gain and he beat Brown on 50/50 ball too. Fans that saw that Brown play assume he had a terrible game and that he was responsible for Tony's impressive stat line. However, most of Tony's catches were actually underneath where safeties and lbs were the the primary coverage guys. If you just paid attention to Brown's pick 6 you likely assume he's really elevated his play over the last couple of games. The truth lies in the middle of both opinions. He's your average sarter that's going to get caught on bad plays and also make some good plays over the course of the game. My biggest concern with him is he often doesn't play the ball in the air, which has led to him giving up some big plays or PI. That along with some missed tackles has some fans thinking they want to see a rookie. Overall, he's a solid starter, that's probably having his best season of his career.

AB is playing better every week. If Brown battles and don't let anyone destroy him that's a good season for #30.

I do think Brown plays better in the slot.

For the coaches to replace a veteran CB playing ok (imo, lately) with a raw rookie who has been behind since he's been on the team says a lot about the talent a KJ must have.. we'll see.

I showed a clip of Tony game, out of all his catches on the day only 1 catch was actually against Brown

You are probably the only guy in the forum who is harping on PI on that call, the commentators ( one of them is HOF QB) the NFL playback admin, and several others in this forum have tried to explain it to you but you go on .. on. And onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

Its a Cowboys forum. I have people on here telling me how good Brown is. There were fans on here telling us all how great Jaylon was playing before he got cut. Same nonsense with Heath, ect.....ect...

I have no doubt whatsoever that if the play was reversed, you all would be crying bloody murder.

Shouldn't be a PI. WR slipped not tackled.
Brown was a 6th round pick who earned a second contract. That's already a homerun pick.

Brown is benefitting from better passrush (which DB wouldn't) and QB afraid to throw to Diggs side so has to force throws to other side. Good for Brown.

They blew the call luckily.

Brown is a good but not great CB. If Joseph can step in and take the #2 spot and we move Brown back to the slot we would look so much better back there.

We have given the 2nd most passing yards in the nfl. And trevon aint giving up the yards. Ab getting cooked weekly. If bossman aint the answer we got problems
and yet we are near the top for rushing yards allowed.... hmmmmm, lets figure this out.
We opened week 1 against Tamp who threw the ball like what, 40 plus times? That guy Brady... not bad. Week 2 we played against this new QB, maybe you have heard of him??? You know, the guy that absolutely TORCHED that amazing Cleveland defense yesterday??
Then we got out to huge leads against the Eagles, Panthers and Giants.... which we all know that means they are gonna run the heck out of the ball, right???? smh

this is a time where stats dont mean jack. Those passing yards are a reflection of teams needing to drop back and pass over and over again because they were getting smoked.

I'd imagine every team has a CB that their fans think is the worst corner in the league, even the good teams. The bad teams have multiple guys that the fans think are horrible(we did for a long time). I do agree that Brown seems to be improving as we go along, and if he's our weakest link then we're in pretty good shape. There are very few teams in the history of the NFL that have had two very good corners, and lots of super bowl winners that had a below average corner on one side of the field.

Granted game was over but I continue to see better play out of him and loved seeing him cap this game off with a int for TD and loved the reaction he got from Dak as he came back to the sidelines.

When he has to go against AB his play will decline again. I wouldn't be shocked even now if AB would be the best receiver on this team, even though he's a complete idiot off the field.

He is NOT improving. Everyone knows he is the weakest link on defense. Why do you think they pick on him all game long?

He has terrible awareness and ball skills. No fluidity to his game. Cant cover.
I did a thread about him last week . He is definitely improving. But what does that actually say how bad it was. I’m glad he’s on the team we need the bodies

Before the pick 6, it was probably Browns worst game. That was a gimme pick anyone could have made and he finally actually made it after dropping some easy ones. Give him credit for the pick, but his play before that was terrible.

Including the PI in the endzone that was laughably not called.

What you are seeing improve is the Cowboys pass rush and defense overall.
Not so sure about the PI. The receiver tripped as Brown was closing.

Brown will keep getting targeted and burned. That's the tough job of being a #2 CB opposite a great #1 CB. But to make up for it, he will need to keep coming up with INTs. He had 1 vs. Philly, should have had an easy one vs. Carolina, and then had the Pick-6 yesterday. If he finishes the season with 4-5 INTs, I'll take it.

Im not seeing it. When you play against the Giants 4th, 5th, and 6th string WR's and backup QB and you are still getting burnt all game, that isnt improving to me. A guy in the league as long as him is hard pressed to improve. Brown is what he is.

Sometimes the offenses just arent as good or he doesnt quite get exposed by them. Or his mistakes dont cost us games like the Tampa game did. Or he happens to make a play or two and you think its improvement.

I think the whole defense is playing better and getting a swagger.
